AZ onside kick: Tyler Higbee recovers it. Really good game for the longtime Rams TE.
With at least 75 receiving yards today, Cooper Kupp can become the first player in NFL history with 75+ receiving yards in 16 straight games. More impressively, Kupp has at least 90 receiving yards in all 15 games of his current streak. A machine. pic.twitter.com/Uip9tAXC7l
Close one there. Stafford wanted Kupp over the shoulders in the end zone off a route out of the backfield, just incomplete. Screen on third and long only picks up a handful, and Matt Gay kicks another FG.
Ball carriers naturally reach out for the goal line when they’re close to scoring. It cost Missouri in overtime on Saturday and it nearly came back to bite the Rams when Cam Akers fumbled it at the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter against the Cardinals.
Thankfully, Los Angeles held off Arizona’s comeback attempt with a good defensive stand and a recovered onside kick, but Akers’ last carry was a frustrating one for both himself and the Rams. After the game, he explained what happened on the play, saying he “just got greedy” by trying to break the plane for a would-be touchdown
In the Arizona Cardinals’ 29-23 overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders, it was cornerback Byron Murphy who picked up a Hunter Renfrow fumble and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown.
In a simulation of the Cardinals’ Week 3 matchup at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Madden NFL 23, Murphy comes up clutch again.
With under two minutes remaining in the game and the score tied 13-13, Murphy picks off a Matthew Stafford pass and returns it to the five-yard line. James Conner scores on the next play to give the Cardinals a 20-13 lead and win
CB Derion Kendrick is being evaluated for a concussion, per Rams.
Rams inactives: S Jordan Fuller, CB Cobie Durant, QB Bryce Perkins, CB David Long, C Brian Allen, CB Shaun Jolly. Looks like Lance McCutcheon is active, in that case, which should please Rams Twitter.
Brandon Powell got the start today, just laid a huge block for Kupp and then gets 16 of his own on a catch-and-run.
Would imagine Malcolm Brown (p-squad) is activated sooner than later for those goal line yards.
Yeah, Grant Haley may be playing his way into many more snaps in the future here.
Kendall Blanton back in a big way. Picks up 28.
Takk McKinley in the game for the Rams, opposite Leonard Floyd.
Hard hit from depth by Jalen Ramsey on Ertz helps knock Murray's pass loose on third and long.
Ben Skowronek picks up 31 yards on a catch-and-run down the sideline...dude is really gaining some confidence these last few weeks.
Kendall Blanton is expected to be active today, while Takk McKinley could even see a couple snaps per McVay. CB Grant Haley, WR Jacob Harris up from practice squad (Harris an elevation, his 2nd) and Rams added CB Jolly this week. twitter.com/jourdanrodrigu…
RT Rob Havenstein is down on the field, trainers attending.
Sean McVay was pleased with the way the Rams played on Sunday, beating the Cardinals on the road, 20-12. It wasn’t the cleanest or prettiest win, with the offense getting outgained 364-339, but as McVay said last week, “a win is a win is a win.”
He addressed the team following Sunday’s victory over Arizona, telling them to “never take for granted a divisional win.”
“Great job. We really challenged the special teams to start it off the right way. I thought you guys gave us a real edge today,” he said before giving Michael Hoecht a game ball for his blocked punt
Third and 10: Ernest Jones reaches for the tackle short of the sticks. AZ is kicking the FG.
Terrell Lewis sacks Murray on second down for a four-yard loss.
Bobby Evans comes onto the field at RT. Havenstein walking off under his own power. twitter.com/JourdanRodrigu…
The Los Angeles Rams enter their Week 3 matchup on the road against the Arizona Cardinals will a number of injuries in the secondary. Already down three of their top four cornerbacks, safety Jordan Fuller was also questionable for the game with a hamstring injury. He will not play and is among the Rams’ inactives for Week 3.
With Troy Hill on injured reserve and both Long and Durant inactive, Robert Rochell will start at cornerback for the Rams opposite Jalen Ramsey.
Fuller split snaps on defense with Taylor Rapp. Rapp’s role will likely increase

Big hit delivered by Jalen Ramsey to break up Kyler Murray's pass intended for Zach Ertz. Cardinals go 3-and-out and are forced to punt again.
No DeAndre Hopkins. No Rondale Moore. No A.J. Green available for the second half because of injury. Marquise Brown stepped up on Sunday in the Cardinals' 20-12 defeat to the Rams in Week 3. azcardinals.com/news/marquise-…
Matt Prater now joins Robbie Gould and Mason Crosby as the only active players in the NFL with 1,600+ career points. pic.twitter.com/7sq3x7JgIP
Cardinals' WR A.J. Green ruled out today due to a knee injury.
Eno Benjamin to me: "I don't think we should have lost this game. So, I'm gonna leave it at that."
This may be the most telling answer I've received from Kyler Murray yet. I asked him what is the reason for the Cardinals not scoring in the first quarter this season - play calling, execution, effort? His response: "All of it."
LB Zaven Collins (shoulder) and DT Rashard Lawrence (hand) are questionable to return. pic.twitter.com/ciFRDHJ06F
Left guard Justin Pugh leaves the field his left arm down at his side. Max Garcia in to replace him.
J.J. Watt comes up with his second sack of the season.
Cardinals three-and-out, and Andy Lee's punt in partially blocked. Rams have ball at AZ 35.
The Arizona Cardinals made a pair of roster move Saturday. They announced they used standard elevations to promote cornerback Jace Whittaker and receiver Andre Baccellia to the active roster for their game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Both had played in both games so far this season.
Baccellia had his first two NFL catches last week in the Cardinals’ 29-23 overtime win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Whittaker has been elevated three straight weeks. He played 54 defensive snaps in two games. Last week, he had four tackles and a pass breakup
Kliff Kingsbury just went for a 4th and inches at his own 20 yard-line. Glad it worked for him. More teams should do this. pic.twitter.com/pmasQ1VIyJ
