Fantasy Football QB/RB FAAB Report Week 12: How Much FAAB Are Zach Charbonnet, Desmond Ridder, Dorian Thompson-Robinson Worth?

Lou takes a how much FAAB this week's hottest quarterback and running back pickups are worth.

Welcome to my weekly FAAB report article for Fantasy Football. Every week, I am going to go over my favorite additions at the QB and RB positions in both shallower leagues and deeper leagues and tell you how much FAAB you should be spending and why.

Want to make sure you don't waste your FAAB budget? Sync your fantasy teams with our Fantasy Assistant to access our Predictive Analytics, which predict the average winning FAAB bids for each week's hottest pickups BEFORE waivers are run, with accurate predictions landing each Tuesday!

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Shallow Leagues (10 and 12 Teams)

QB Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow is out for the season, so Browning has some value in any format where you can start two QBs. The Bengals' offense certainly won’t be nearly as good without Burrow, yet there are plenty of weapons for Browning to get the ball to, which gives him a chance to perform well enough in fantasy to be a QB2. Spending 10-13% of your remaining budget is not breaking the bank and should be able to land you the Bengals' starter for the rest of the season.

QB Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

You gotta “love” the Week 11 performance from Jordan Love. He pulled off the upset against the Chargers and did it by having the first 300-yard passing game of his career. He threw for two TDs and didn’t throw an interception, which is noteworthy because he had thrown at least one pick in six of his past seven games before Week 11. He is worthy of a bid in the 7-10% range of your remaining budget.

QB Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are coming off the bye week, and Ridder is available in shallow leagues because he hasn’t been the starter over the past few weeks. Over the bye week, though, the Falcons announced he will be the starting QB again, and he’s had two weeks to prepare for the Falcons' upcoming game against the division rival Saints. Spend 12-15% of your remaining budget on him.

RB Miles Sanders, Carolina Panthers

Sanders has been injured, and even when healthy he has been irrelevant in fantasy. In Week 11, he had his best rushing game of the season since Week 1, and it’s worth taking a chance on him again considering how bad the Panthers' passing game is. They have to run the football, and that favors both Sanders and Chuba Hubbard. In 10-team leagues, spend 15-17% of your remaining budget on him.

RB Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks

Kenneth Walker left the game in the first quarter; if his oblique injury forces him to miss any games, Charbonnet becomes a must-add player even in shallower leagues. His fantasy production had been limited because Walker has dominated the touches in the backfield, however, if Charbonnet is given more snaps and touches due to the Walker injury, he gains tons of value. If Walker is going to miss multiple weeks, you are going to need to spend 55-70% of your remaining budget on Charbonnet. Even if Walker only will miss one or two weeks, you will want to bid at least 40% of your remaining budget.

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Deep Leagues (14 and 16 Teams)

RB Salvon Ahmed, Miami Dolphins

De'Von Achane is hurt again. If he misses time, Ahmed will play back up to Raheem Mostert, who has an injury history of his own. Also, Mostert can’t handle a full workload, so Ahmed will get touches in an explosive Dolphins offense. He was involved in the passing game in Week 11, which is good news in PPR formats. Don’t spend big, but 4-6% of your remaining budget is definitely worth it, especially if Achane's injury is serious enough that he will miss even one week.

QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Cleveland Browns

It wasn’t the prettiest of games for the kid, but when it mattered most, he drove the Browns down the field for a game-winning FG against a tough Steelers defense. He definitely earned himself another start replacing Deshaun Watson, who is out for the rest of the season. He ran the ball a little, which you have to love in fantasy football, and looked comfortable when targeting Amari Cooper and David Njoku, who are his top targets. Now that we know he is the guy going forward, you’ll want to add him in any league in which you can start two QBs. Bid between 16-19% of your remaining budget in 14-team leagues and 40-45% in 16-team leagues.

QB Aidan O’Connell, Las Vegas Raiders

Although the Raiders came up short in Week 11, losing a tough game to the Dolphins, O’Connell had a solid QB2 type of game. Superstar CB Jalen Ramsey picked him off twice, otherwise, the rookie QB looked good. The biggest factor in making him fantasy relevant is that he utilizes Davante Adams. AOC targeted Adams 13 times in Week 11 and the two connected for 82 yards and a TD. In your 14-team leagues, 10-12% of your budget should be good enough; however, in a 16-team league, if he is still available, you will need to spend 30-35% of your remaining budget.
