Week 10 Fantasy Football Trending Trade Targets: Michael Pittman & Geno Smith Remain Red-Hot Trade Targets

Will Desvallees Nov 9th 2:04 PM EST.

Heading into Week 10, we’re seeing a lot of similar names come up in our list of the hottest trending fantasy football trade targets based on ETI% (Estimated Trade Interest). This includes the inconsistent WR Michael Pittman and the impressive QB Geno Smith who seem to be making this list week in and week out.

Let’s take a look at the fantasy football players owners are thinking about trading for or trading away as we get set to kick off Week 10 of the 2022 NFL season.

Fantasy SP is proud to announce the recent launch of our NFL DFS Optimizer! Dominate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo with our trustworthy Lineup Generator!

WR Kalif Raymond, Detroit Lions (21% ETI)

Over the last few weeks, Kalif Raymond has emerged as an increasingly important passing target for Jared Goff. In fact he had at least 75 receiving yards in Week 7 against the Cowboys and in Week 8 against the Dolphins. However, Raymond only had three catches for 17 receiving yards against the Packers in Week 9. There was certainly a lot of buy-low hype surrounding Raymond after his 76 yard performance against Miami. However, with the return of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams expected to make his NFL debut in a few weeks to come, Raymond’s fantasy value could be depleted. While fantasy owners were perhaps scrambling to buy Kalif Raymond low last week, they may be trying to sell him high heading into Week 10.

WR Michael Pittman, Indianapolis Colts (17% ETI)

Michael Pittman has made this list virtually every week this season and that’s because consistency (at least from a fantasy football perspective) has been a major issue for the third-year wideout all season. Pittman is yet to record his second touchdown of the season. He only recorded his first touchdown in Week 1 in a great game where he had nine catches for 121 receiving yards. Pittman wouldn’t have another 100+ yard receiving game until Week 6 against the Jaguars where he had 13 catches for 134 yards. However, in each of the last three weeks, Pittman has failed to get into the endzone and has caught for less than 60 yards in each contest. He’s coming off of his worst game of the season in Week 9 where he finished with just three receptions for 22 yards against the Patriots. As a result, Pittman is increasingly becoming a fantasy football player owners may be looking to cash-in on. In turn, his underwhelming play especially over the last three weeks have brought his trade value down and made him an interesting buy-low target heading into Week 10.

RB Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (18% ETI)

Leonard Fournette hasn’t been able to produce more than three yards per carry in each of his last four games for the Bucs, three of which Tampa Bay lost. He’s coming off of an absolutely terrible game against the Rams in Week 9 where he had nine carries for 19 rushing yards (2.1 AVG) and five catches for 41 receiving yards. In Week 8, Fournette did record a rushing touchdown, but only produced 24 rushing yards (2.7 AVG) and 34 receiving yards. In Week 7 in a 21-3 loss to the Panthers, Fournette had his worst statistical game of the season. He had not touchdowns, eight carries for 19 rushing yards, and just two catches for seven receiving yards in the contest. Fantasy owners are likely starting to hit the “panic” button on Fournette who’s been disappointing since Week 6. It’s too bad for owners who drafted him very high, as he was off to a great start this season. Unfortunately, his last few weeks have been bad and he is becoming a running back who fantasy owners are considering trading away. Other owners may be rushing to trade for him as a prime buy-low candidate who could re-emerge as a top running back in the month of November as Tampa Bay looks towards the postseason.

WR Juju Smith-Schuster, Kansas City Chiefs (16% ETI)

Juju Smith-Schuster has been having a great season for the Chiefs. He’s been particularly red-hot over the last three weeks. In fact, Juju has combined for 23 catches for 325 receiving yards and two touchdowns over the last three weeks (Week 7 - Week 9). This has brought his season totals up to 44 catches for 582 receiving yards (13.2 AVG) and two touchdowns. As the season has moved along, it is clear that Patrick Mahomes’s chemistry with a healthy Smith-Schuster has only continued to improve. Over the last three weeks, Smith-Schuster has been one of the most consistent fantasy football receivers. Though he is certainly not a buy-low candidate heading into Week 10, fantasy owners know his value and are certainly very interested in acquiring him through trades if possible.

RB Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots (17% ETI)

Rhamondre Stevenson has been consistently great all season. Through Week 9 of the 2022 NFL season, the Patriots’ running back has had 618 rushing yards (4.8 AVG), 227 receiving yards (6.5 AVG), and five total touchdowns. He is showing no signs of slowing down after a Week 8 performance where he had 71 rushing yards and 72 receiving yards. He followed that up with 60 rushing yards, and three catches for 10 receiving yards and a touchdown in a 26-3 win over the Colts this Sunday. While he isn’t a buy-low target at the moment, he certainly isn’t a sell-high candidate either. Still, relentless consistency and offensive production throughout the season has made him one of the most attractive trade targets heading into Week 10.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (15% ETI)

Though Amon-Ra St. Brown has returned to the Lions’ first-team offense and is healthy again; he hasn’t quite lived up to his performances in the first few weeks of the regular season. He returned in Week 8 for a respectable performance in which he had seven catches for 69 yards. He produced a little less in Week 9 with four catches for 55 yards. However, St. Brown hasn’t gotten into the endzone since returning and isn’t netting fantasy owners what they may have expected from him upon return from injury.

QB Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks (15% ETI)

As Geno Smith continues to impress as the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks this season, he continues to make it on this list as the hottest trending quarterback trade target. In Week 9, he completed 76.5% of his passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns and one interception to lead the Seahawks to a big NFC West victory over the Arizona Cardinals. At this point, it's hard to suggest that Geno Smith's numbers will collapse. Despite barely playing any football since the 2014 season with the Jets where he finished the season completing less than 60% of his passes for 2,525, 13 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions, Geno is balling out seven seasons later with the Seahawks. In 2022, Smith has completed 73.1% of his passes for 2,199 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. Obviously, he is the biggest suprise at QB this season and as a result, continues to lead the popularity contest among fantasy football trade targets as we head into Week 10.

WR Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints (15% ETI)

While relentless injury setbacks to the Saints receiving corps has devastated their ability to be efficient on offense and has contributed to their current 3-6 record in the NFC South, rookie WR Chris Olave has been a constant all season and is a front-runner to win 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the year honors. He is certainly a sell-high trade target for owners who may want to cash in on the numbers he's produced so far this season but are perhaps worried about the current state of the team he plays for. The 3-6 Saints are finding little to no groove on offense which means Olave could have a harder time getting into the endzone or producing big yardage especially if Mickey Loomis and the Saints begin to tank their season in order to secure a higher draft pick. While I wouldn’t get rid of Olave, he may be trending in trades specifically because of how high his trade value is combined with how bad the Saints are playing. Owners may be hesitating to keep him in the weeks to come, thinking that this abysmal saints offense will target him less in the weeks to come.
