Using Predictive Adds To Identify Week 2 Waiver Wire Pickups

Matt Brandon Sep 13th 11:18 AM EDT. Edited 11:18 AM.

It’s hard to believe but Week 1 is officially in the books after the Seattle Seahawks held off Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. There is a ton of big news from Week 1, including the injuries to Dak Prescott and Elijah Mitchell. With San Francisco’s workhorse running back down for the count, Jeff Wilson Jr. is being added more than anyone else in fantasy football. Last year, it was Mitchell who everyone gravitated toward after Week 1 due to his 100-yard breakout performance. And unsurprisingly, he led a lot of fantasy football owners to championships. This year, it’s his backup who owners are flocking toward in the wake of Mitchell’s injury.

NFL Week 3 Preseason Fantasy Football Takeaways

Matt Brandon Aug 29th 2:29 PM EDT. Edited 2:49 PM.

In the third week of the NFL Preseason, a few teams actually let their starters log some valuable reps while other teams continued to play it safe and leave their star power on the bench. Week 3 of the preseason was the final opportunity that teams got to evaluate their personnel to cut the roster down to 53 spots by opening day. For players vying for roster spots, this was the final opportunity to shine. For bonafide veterans, this was more about establishing some chemistry. And for some, this was a chance to move up the depth chart and start turning heads. That’s exactly what Houston’s rookie running back, Dameon Pierce, did on the opening drive against the San Francisco 49ers. Let’s dissect each matchup and break down the biggest fantasy football takeaways from Week 3’s preseason action.

Sports Betting 101: 5 Tips For Betting On The NFL Preseason

Matt Brandon Aug 4th 12:41 PM EDT. Edited 12:41 PM.

Should you bet on NFL preseason games?

The Hall of Fame game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders signals the beginning of the NFL preseason. Many sports bettors are wondering whether they should bet on preseason football or whether that’s reserved for true degenerates. Preseason football is so hard to predict given the very limited snaps that starters play so how can you predict the outcome? It’s much more difficult, which is why I suggest saving most of your betting bankroll for the regular season.

Fantasy Football Impact: Julio Jones Joins The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Matt Brandon Jul 27th 12:16 PM EDT. Edited 12:36 PM.

The fantasy football landscape has been shaken up significantly by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' signing of seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, Julio Jones, this morning.

After spending his first 10 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Jones is gearing up to play for his second team in as many seasons after an injury-riddled year with the Tennessee Titans in 2021. Jones agreed to a one-year deal. The wide receiver room in Tampa Bay just got even more explosive as Jones will join Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Russell Gage. Tom Brady may not be getting Rob Gronkowski back (especially after the Bucs signed Kyle Rudolph) but Tampa’s wide receiver corps is stacked.

Justin Jefferson Highlights Fantasy Football’s Most Valuable Third-Year Wide Receivers

Matt Brandon Jun 21st 1:28 PM EDT. Edited 2:16 PM.

Season after season, the NFL seems more and more to stand for ‘Not For Long.’ However, players entering the league with decent draft capital tend to get at least three full seasons to showcase their talents. Of course, some break out earlier, while others don’t even get a third year to prove themselves. Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys are both considered elite receivers despite suiting up for just two seasons a piece. However, not every wideout entering his third NFL season is their team’s go-to target or has been given the same number of opportunities as Jefferson or Lamb have seen in their respective young careers. Most wideouts officially break onto the scene by their third season while others never live up to expectations. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jalen Reagor still has yet to figure it out and is widely considered a massive bust at this point. Let’s take a look at the top 10 wideouts entering their third NFL season!

2022 Fantasy Football: Should You Draft QB Daniel Jones?

Matt Brandon Jun 17th 1:59 PM EDT. Edited 1:59 PM.

Ever since entering the NFL out of Duke, Daniel Jones has been somewhat of an enigma, Many pundits think he’s a complete bust after being selected sixth overall in the 2019 NFL Draft during Dave Gettleman’s horrendous tenure as the New York Giants’ General Manager. However, some think that he is a quarterback who hasn’t been allowed to thrive given the weak weapons at his disposal.
