Jamaal Williams with a 1-yard rushing touchdown. (This was a pre-scheduled Tweet)
#Lions first-round pick WR Jameson Williams will make his debut against the #Jaguars, but he's expected to be on a very limited snap count, per me and @RapSheet. They'll ease him in 11 months after his torn ACL.
For a game pitting two teams with 4-7 records against one another, there’s a surprising amount of intrigue and importance in Sunday’s matchup between the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Lions adding rookie wideout Jameson Williams into the mix only builds the excitement.
As kickoff rapidly approaches, here are a few last-minute thoughts on the game and a final prediction.
–The debut of Jameson Williams provides a major spark for the offense. That spark might not ignite the stat sheet for Williams himself, however. I expect “Jamo” to play 18-20 snaps and get a handful of targets. This is much more about building chemistry with QB Jared Goff and learning how much Williams’ world-class speed impacts the opposing coverage. Don’t be underwhelmed when Williams “only” catches three passes for 41 yards
Swift rushed 14 times for 62 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of six targets for 49 yards in the Lions' 40-14 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Swift handled his heaviest workload on the ground since Week 1 and found the end zone for the third time in the last four games in what was his best all-around game of the season. The third-year back's rushing yardage tally was also his second highest of the season, while his receiving yardage was a new high-water mark in 2022. The fact Swift outpaced backfield mate Jamaal Williams by three carries could be harbinger of what the stretch run may hold now that the former is possibly finally back to full health, but more insight should be gleaned from the division of labor in a Week 14 divisional home showdown against the Vikings.

DeShon Elliott forced a fumble on the second play of the day. Not bad!
John Cominsky makes such a big impact up front for these #Lions. Tips off a pass from Lawrence and forces Jags to punt.
Dan Campbell says there's a "good chance" Romeo Okwara makes his season debut next week. Already the healthiest they've been this year, they're about to get healthier yet.

Aidan Hutchinson went unblocked off the edge. Jacksonville may want to consider blocking him.

"There's a lot of people that owe me an apology in the Twitter DMs," Taylor Decker said. "I've been here seven years now. I just know what it feels like when we're playing good ball. …This was by far our best game." On a Lions team that continues to win: theathletic.com/3968668/2022/1…
Justin Jackson has a lot of room to run there if he holds onto that. Bad drop there. #JAXvsDET

If you ever want to see how big Penei Sewell can smile ask him about what it feels like to be a new dad. Saw Papa Sewell in the locker room today and happy to report he's loving Dad Life. Mama Sewell also doing very well. And the Lions are winning ... so, Ws all around.
Great call on the screen there by Ben Johnson. Caught Jags in blitz. 14-yard gain and Lions offense is on the move again in Jags territory. #JAXvsDET
John Cominsky thought he had an INT off his pass deflection, but James Houston ran right in front of him as he was going for the ball
Romeo Okwara activated from PUP but one of the Lions' inactives today. Amani Oruwariye also inactive.
