After a trade from Detroit, David Montgomery steps in as the projected lead back for a rising Houston Texans offense. He sits atop the depth chart ahead of Woody Marks, positioning him to spearhead the ground game for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Our models project Montgomery for a heavy workload of 212 carries, 929 rushing yards, and eight touchdowns.

Looking at draft market trends, Montgomery's ADP has seen some notable shifts. After peaking in the late-third round in late May, his draft price has steadily settled to a highly reasonable ADP of 55.00. Jordan Mason is poised to operate as the secondary option in Minnesota's backfield behind veteran starter Aaron Jones Sr. Operating as the primary backup, Mason looks to build on his 2025 campaign where he logged 167 carries, proving he can handle a steady workload when called upon.

Our models project Mason for 161 carries, 762 rushing yards, and six touchdowns, offering decent standalone value even in a committee. His minimal projected involvement in the passing game (15 receptions) limits his PPR ceiling, but he remains one of the league's premier handcuff options.

Examining draft trends reveals his ADP has slipped from a peak of 97 in early May down to a stable 117 in June. At this discounted market price, our projections view him as an excellent bench-depth steal who would inherit massive volume should injuries strike the depth chart.
