Back-to-back hits for Bears rookie safety Jaquan Brisker. He sent Chiefs WR Skyy Moore spinning. Brisker has had a very good camp so far. It must feel good for him to hit after being in position to during practices.
RB Derrick Gore is questionable to return with a neck injury.
Don't need to see another snap from Justin Watson.
An annual camp tradition holds true: Andy Reid tells everyone that the starters will get a quarter & instead Chad Henne runs onto the field with 4 minutes left in the opening quarter.
Shane Buechele to Justin Watson for an easy touchdown against cover-2. Buechele was awesome on that 2-minute drive. The dude really shows up when the lights come on.
No one's ever seen Skyler Thompson and Travis Kelce in the same room.
Ronald Jones is on the field with Shane Buechele.
Yes, you saw that right. @JustinqReid with the PAT

The preseason is for practice and the Kansas City Chiefs got their emergency kicker some practice during the game.
Safety Justin Reid, who recently made headlines with his 65-yard field goal at training camp, got some work as the team’s emergency kicker ahead of the end of the first half. After a 22-yard touchdown reception from Justin Watson, it wasn’t Harrison Butker who lined up to take the PAT. Instead, it was Reid who came in and got his chance to make the extra point. Sure enough, it was perfectly executed, right down the middle of the uprights
Chiefs going through pregame warmups. Don't see TE Jody Fortson, CB Rashad Fenton, WR Gary Jennings, CB Zayne Anderson here. Fortson, Fenton recently returned to practice from injuries, so no surpirse. DE Frank Clark, who didn't practice Thursday because he was sick, is dressed.
Matt Nagy Revenge Game? No, my frents, it's the Michael Burton Revenge Game.
Nice zone beater for the Bears to score a touchdown. I thought Jaylen Watson was strong on that drive.
Nick Allegretti was on the field for that 3rd-&-short play.
Lucas Niang could start the regular season on PUP. The best option at swing tackle appears to be Geron Christian. It's hard to trade for quality tackles at this point because the position is so valuable. twitter.com/bhudson_15/sta…

The Kansas City Chiefs got the party started in preseason Week 1 with an 11-play scoring drive against the Chicago Bears.
The entire time the Chiefs marched down the field in 21 personnel with multiple tight ends on the field and a fullback. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid got Mike Burton, Travis Kelce, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Isiah Pacheco involved early on in the drive
Fields completed 4 of 7 passes for 48 yards and ran once for 10 yards, exiting after 18 snaps.Ashlee Rezin/Sun-Times Let’s start with what matters most in any preseason game: Bears quarterback Justin Fields is fine after taking a hard hit to the head and an unnerving near-miss with his right leg.Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill inexplicably dropped his right shoulder into the left side of Fields as he slid at the end of a run for no gain in the first quarter. The hit sent Fields’ head whippin
Just an unbelievable catch from Tajae Sharpe 😳 #DaBears 📺: #KCvsCHI on @NFLNetwork 📱: Stream on NFL+ bit.ly/3QcrYGG pic.twitter.com/IOJLHvLfd6
Justin Fields' 26-yard completion to Darnell Mooney was the Chicago Bears’ biggest play from scrimmage in their 19-14 preseason victory. An argument can be made that that long completion was also the team’s biggest play as far as future potential is concerned too.
What a throw from Justin Fields What a catch from Tajae Sharpe pic.twitter.com/skOuvbuRU4
Congratulations to Matt Eberflus on 1st win... hey, a W is a W... hopefully many more to come! #BearDown @ChicagoBears
I love the way Jaquan Brisker plays football. #Bears

Among the Bears not playing today: Roquan Smith (he is on the sideline), Cole Kmet, David Montgomery, Velus Jones Jr., Kyler Gordon, Kindle Vildor, Duke Shelley, James O'Shaughnessy and Riley Reiff.
After a shaky first few plays, Teven Jenkins is looking better. Just ask Chiefs LB Jack Cochrane. Whew.
Cairo Santos drills a 47-yard field goal, extending #Bears' lead to 19-14 with 5:58 left in fourth quarter. Bears have outscored Chiefs 19-0 in second half.
Luke Getsy must want to get a closer look at Khalil Herbert. Not sure why the Bears dialed up a handoff out of the shotgun on 3rd/6 (no gain), but the last 4 plays ended the momentum Chicago got on the last 2 plays of the 1st Q.
Looks like veteran OL Riley Reiff is not in uniform for the #Bears. That means more reps for some young guys, namely Braxton Jones & Larry Borom with the starters.
Matt Nagy just wrapped Roquan Smith with a bear hug and then spent about 10 seconds saying something into his ear. Roquan was smiling and nodding emphatically.
Trestan Ebner finds the end zone for the @ChicagoBears TD! pic.twitter.com/SWZJt7zWXd
That is athleticism in the open field for Dominique Robinson. KC obviously screwed that play up but DR has length and he can move.
Trenton Gill is up to 5 punts, but he's been impressive. So the Bears have that going for them, which is nice.
Dazz Newsome muff on a punt return coupled with a block in the back ... special teams is a work in progress.
Bears LB Jack Sanborn making Lake Zurich proud today.
Dante Pettis getting a shot to return a punt now.
There is little question in my mind that Luke Getsy will be a head coach in the league very soon.
#Bears DB Jayson Stanley needs help off the field. He's headed to the medical tent.
#Bears LB Javin White holding his left knee after that kickoff return. Appears to be in pain.
End of the 1st Q. Bears wide receivers showcasing a bit this drive. Hell of a catch by Tajae Sharpe (well done by Fields vs. blitz) down the sideline followed by an 8 yard gain on a jet sweep by Equanimeous St. Brown.
Bolingbrook's Micah Dew-Treadway with the sack for the Bears, Chiefs turn it over on downs.
CHICAGO – All in all, Bears quarterback Justin Fields and the first-team offense played 18 snaps of football during Saturday’s preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Soldier Field.
The results for the offense were mixed. Fields picked up four first downs on three possessions, but failed to put any points on the board. The offense was playing without several significant contributors: tight end Cole Kmet, running back David Montgomery and veteran tackle Riley Reiff, as well as receivers in Byron Pringle and Velus Jones Jr
Only three tight ends for the Bears today: Chase Allen, Jake Tonges and Rysen John. Lucky for you, here's a Q&A with Allen, the undrafted rookie out of Iowa State theathletic.com/3496172/2022/0…
We’re just a few hours away until the Chicago Bears play their first preseason game of the season when they welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to town. While preseason games don’t mean much in the grand scheme of the NFL season, it’s the perfect opportunity to get a feel for how the team looks and evaluate certain players, particularly rookies.
For the Bears 2022 draft class, this will be the first major test for them as they begin their NFL careers. High draft picks such as cornerback Kyler Gordon and Velus Jones Jr. aren’t expected to play due to injuries, but the Bears aren’t short on rookies that might make an impact early on. Here are five rookies to watch when the Bears take on the Chiefs
