Like a social media thunderbolt, Quarterback Chaos 2021 began before last season’s Super Bowl was even played. It started when the Los Angeles Rams agreed on Jan. 31 to acquire Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions for Jared Goff and two first-round draft picks.
Two weeks later, Indianapolis put a deal in place for Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz. A month-and-a-half after that, the New York Jets flipped Sam Darnold to Carolina.
On and on and on it went leading into the draft — Ryan Fitzpatrick to Washington, Andy Dalton to Chicago and Teddy Bridgewater to Denver

Sunday’s trip to Seattle to face the Seahawks felt a lot more like a preseason game than a Week 17 contest.
Through that prism, the blowout 51-29 loss is a little more palatable. If the focus of the game was to see what the bottom-of-the-roster and practice squad players thrust into starting roles all over the Lions lineup could do, we did get some answers there. And not all of them were negatives, though there were a lot more nays than yeas.
In terms of an actual competitive football game, the Lions had no chance. Starting seven rookies overall and without over a dozen regulars from even six weeks ago, the undermanned Lions had no real chance. Tim Boyle at QB throwing to KhaDarel Hodge as the top outside receiver, with Tommy Kraemer starting at right guard and a tight end, Jared Pinkney, who was on the Rams practice squad on Monday, yeah … it went exactly as you might expect

Ravens TE Mark Andrews has been on a tear of late with 100+ yards and a TD in 3 straight games. If Andrews continues that streak today, he'll be the first TE in NFL history to do so in 4 straight games. He currently leads all TEs in catches, yards and is tied for most TD. pic.twitter.com/8CSgxP0T3w

Marcus Peters, who is on the Ravens sideline, is very much into this game against his former team. Peters is calling out stuff from the sideline and was even a few yards on the field to get the attention of his teammates on that last series.

There are 19 Giants from 2020 on other teams this year. The only two who make significant money are Dalvin Tolmlinson and Kevin Zeitler. 8 are on a PS. The rest are around the minimum, so Im not sure how many are really doing this. twitter.com/ZackBlatt/stat…

The Arizona Cardinals have three quarterbacks active for the first time this season. Trace McSorley, signed recently by the Cardinals but inactive every week since he joined, could be Kyler Murray’s backup Sunday afternoon against the Dallas Cowboys.
Second-string quarterback Colt McCoy was a late addition to the team’s injury report Sunday with a migraine. He is now questionable for the game.
Ideally, it doesn’t matter because Murray is healthy and should play the whole game.
But if McCoy is not well enough to be on the sideline, his advice and eyes during the game for Murray and head coach Kliff Kingsbury will be missed

The Baltimore Ravens have been no stranger to making roster moves, especially over the course of the 2021 season. With injuries and COVID-19 severely impacting their season, the team has had to find contributions from elsewhere on the roster and even outside of the organization
On Saturday, the team announced three roster moves ahead of their Week 17 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams in putting rookie outside linebacker Daelin Hayes on injured reserve, signing offensive tackle David Sharpe to the 53-man roster and placing practice squad defensive back Mazzi Wilkins on the Reserve/COVID-19 list
![](/images/nfl/2180273.png)
The Baltimore Ravens signed offensive lineman Patrick Mekari to a three-year contract extension worth around $15.4 million dollars. It was a deserved pay day for Mekari, who has shown that he can play all over the offensive line.
On Friday, Mekari was asked about what his extension means for him and his family, and talked about how blessed and fortunate he was to be in the position that he’s in. He also mentioned how he loved playing for the Ravens organization as well.
“I’m very blessed. I’m very fortunate to be here in this position. I thank God, because it definitely wasn’t because of me. I’m so blessed with His grace. But it’s great to be here; I love being here. I just want to keep getting to work. [There’s] a lot, still, more to prove. I have a lot to work on. I love being a Raven, and I can’t wait to be here until 2024, and hopefully, years beyond.â€
