The Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars are locked in and set for battle in this Week 15 matchup. And as the Browns look for their eighth win and their first in their last three, they get a massive boost as wide receiver Amari Cooper is set to play. However, cornerback Denzel Ward is still not ready to suit up
Cooper cleared the concussion protocol just in time to suit up in front of the home crowd at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Ward is set to miss his third game with a shoulder injury. His return is much-needed in a secondary that desperately needs to recover their form

Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford got X-rays on his wrist after the victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jerome Ford briefly exited the game with a wrist injury. The starting running back was injured when he was tackled for a loss during the fourth quarter. The trainers immediately began testing Ford’s arm and wrist area after he walked to the sideline with pain visible on his face. Ford continued to play through whatever pain or injury he suffered as the Browns went on to beat the Jaguars.
Ford had for 42 yards on nine carries, and he caught four passes for 26 yards before his injury. He finished the game with three more carries for nine yards and a reception for seven yards. The toughness Ford displayed today will win fans and the admiration of his teammates

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 14 loss to the Cleveland Browns was a mess.
Trevor Lawrence finished with three interceptions on a day where he and his wide receivers struggled to get on the same page. Add in a Parker Washington fumble, a turnover on downs, and seven Logan Cooke punts, and the Jaguars afforded the Browns plenty of opportunities on offense.
Jacksonville’s defense had its moments, forcing three turnovers and eight Cleveland punts. But it had miscommunications of its own, allowing Browns tight end David Njoku to run free for 34- and 30-yard touchdowns in the first half

After dropping two games in a row, the Cleveland Browns return home looking for a rebound win as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ahead of this Week 14 matchup, however, the Browns made a few changes to their roster. First, they elevated quarterback Joe Flacco from the practice squad. Then they activated cornerback Cameron Mitchell off of Injured Reserve, waiving quarterback P.J. Walker to make room for the rookie defensive back.
All signs point toward Flacco being signed to the active roster on Monday as the Browns now have just one quarterback in rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson on their actual 53-man roster at this point. While the Browns have not officially named a starting quarterback, there is reason to believe that Flacco will make his second start after a promising debut a week ago

The Cleveland Browns are in full control of their Week 14 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. After creating their third turnover of the game on an Anthony Walker Jr. forced fumble, the Browns moved right down the field for a touchdown. Playing on a short field, the drive was capped off by the oft-battering ram that has been running back Kareem Hunt this season.
This is his seventh touchdown of the season since joining the team in Week 3. All in all, it was a seven-play, 22-yard drive for the Browns as they now hold a 14-point lead over the Jaguars by a score of 21-7. On the drive,Hunt rushed for eight yards, adding another three yards on one reception

Cleveland Browns rookie cornerback Cameron Mitchell exited the game against the Jaguars during the third quarter. Mitchell was slow to get up after Travis Etienne’s touchdown run and walked off the field with the athletic trainers. He was escorted to the medical attempt immediately.
The rookie cornerback is playing his first game all month after being activated from injured reserve. Mitchell suffered a severe hamstring injury in the game against the Cardinals.
Mitchell started at nickelback as the team moved Greg Newsome II outside to replace Denzel Ward. Mitchell is a great option at slot, he seeks out ball carriers with the intensity of a safety, and can still cover wide receivers. Mitchell has a bright future with the team

Some early morning news has broken as the Cleveland Browns and safety Grant Delpit have reportedly struck a deal on a contract extension. First reported by The OBR’s Brad Stainbrook, the former second round pick is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Delpit began stacking games for the Browns late in the 2022 season but exploded onto the scene in 2023. A threat from the nickel, from the box, and over the top, the Browns have tasked Delpit with a plethora of responsibilities, and he has not let them down.
Currently sitting sixth in Pro Bowl voting among all strong safeties, Delpit has gotten the national recognition he deserves as well this year. He is one of the better tacklers among all safeties in the NFL, falling second in the league in tackles that result in a negative play for opposing offenses

The defense of the Cleveland Browns continues to assert their will against the Jacksonville Jaguars as they force their third turnover of the day. After a completed pass linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. rips the ball out as the Browns defense recovered the ball deep in Jaguar territory.
This was the defense’s third forced turnover after Martin Emerson Jr. recorded two interceptions in the first half. Jim Schwartz has his unit flying all over the field making plays time and time again. The Jaguar offense has not been able to establish anything today against this defense

Just as the game between the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars get set for kickoff, safety Juan Thornhill has been scratched from the game with a calf injury. Thornhill entered the game with a questionable game designation with an injury that has plagued him all season. Undrafted rookie safety Ronnie Hickman will start in his place.
This is the second member of the Cleveland secondary to be ruled out in this game as cornerback Denzel Ward will also miss his third straight game as well. Veteran safety Rodney McLeod has also been ruled out for the season with a bicep injury
![](/images/nfl/2061248.png)
The Cleveland Browns are already severely hampered by injuries as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both cornerback Denzel Ward and safety Juan Thornhill were game-time scratches heading into the game, and now defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo has exited the game in the first quarter.
There has been no disclosure yet as to what his injury was that forced him off the field. He is the second Browns player to leave the field already in this game as center Ethan Pocic has already found his way to the locker room as well
![](/images/nfl/2129678.png)
Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Jordan Elliott exited the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with an injury. He left at the two-minute drill during the second quarter. He has a concussion per Mary Kay Cabot. The Browns have been plagued with concussion injuries over the past month, as they’ve lost multiple starters to the injury.
Elliott is an important part of the defensive tackle rotation. His unique blend of size, speed, and strength makes him an asset against the run and passing game. He’s a valuable starter. The Browns have a deep defensive tackle room and will rely on Maurice Hurst II and Shelby Harris during the second half. The veteran duo are a commendable pair and should have no problem facing a depleted Jaguars offensive line
![](/images/nfl/x2139869.png.pagespeed.ic.Ul1XpKTGpZ.png)
Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit went down with an injury during the fourth quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The veteran safety injured his groin while he was blitzing Trevor Lawrence. Delpit jumped into Lawrence’s passing window and landed on Myles Garrett. Delpit was down on the field for quite a while before trainers were able to escort him off the field and into the medical tent. Delpit was later driven into the locker room on the cart. He is questionable to return. He is one of many starters to exit with an injury

Already dealing with a plethora of injuries as the season has taken its toll, the Cleveland Browns will now be without their promising rookie right tackle as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. After tweaking his knee this week in practice, Dawand Jones will miss his second game of the season as the Browns look to advance to 8-5 on the season.
In his absence, swing tackle James Hudson III likely gets the start. Hudson has spot-started multiple games for the Browns over the past two seasons, most recently in their win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11. Already starting a backup left tackle as well, the Browns will need another solid showing from Hudson and Geron Christian against the formidable pass rush of the Jaguars
