QB Jared Goff on the field getting some work in pregame with TE T.J. Hockenson, WR DJ Chark, RB D'Andre Swift, RB Jamaal Williams, WR Josh Reynolds and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. I don't expect to see any of them playing today against Colts.

Almost all starters are in street clothes for this one. Guys who are dressed include Jeff Okudah and Malcolm Rodriguez
Another Austin Seibert field goal makes it a 6-3 game #DETvsIND | #OnePride pic.twitter.com/b3bfrG98pO
Dan Campbell is about to get his first preseason win after that failed 2-point conversion by Indy. He'll move to 1-4.
The Lions finally get a stop on third down in the shadow of their own goal line. The guy who forced the incompletion: Malcolm Rodriguez
Few things I'll have my eye today for Colts vs. Lions: 1. Backup QB battle between David Blough & Tim Boyle. 2. LB pecking order. Malcolm Rodriguez will play, can he continue his upward trend? Where does Derrick Barnes fit in? 3. Jeff Okudah vs. Will Harris for CB No. 2.
Patterson extra point is good and Lions lead 27-20 with 4:03 left. That was an 18-play, 85-yard drive taking up 9:32. Well done by Tim Boyle. #DETvsIND
Lions Note (cc @colton_pouncy) We had a few ppl who were "you guys cut too many special teamers, no?" earlier this week ... guys covering the opening kick of the second half: Derrick Barnes, Kerby Joseph, Craig Reynolds, Brock Wright -- all are making the team, all covering kicks
Minor differences: Colts starters (Ryan, Buckner, etc.) who won't play are in pads and going through stretches. Lions starters who won't play (Aidan Hutchinson is one) emerged in sweats
Appalachian State rookie DT Demetrius Taylor has had a very good training camp with the Lions and has already made a few plays with the 2s this afternoon. 📈
Colts 15-yard TD pass Ehlinger to Strachan gives Indy a 13-6 lead. Mark Gilbert on the coverage. #DETvsIND
Great 61-yard kickoff return by Maurice Alexander out to Colts 34-yard line. Really well blocked. #DETvsIND
Eric Banks limped off the field after that last play. Got pressure, ran into Jarrad Davis. Banks has had a nice camp, one of several in the mix for a backup DL job with Onwuzurike and Paschal out.
Austin Bryant with the sack to force a Colts punt. He's had a strong camp so far. #DETvsIND
good series from Rodriguez AND Derrick Barnes there fit-wise ... both looked like you want 'em to look. Has to be encouraging for Sheppard/Glenn
great job of settling down and driving that ball in there by David Blough -- good 2-minute here overall. Lions would really like to see him put this in the EZ here
The Detroit Lions eked out 27-26 a preseason win against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday and were able to give several of their rookies some considerable playing time while doing so.
While some rookies showed some promise and should be able to walk away from this game feeling good, others did not have themselves a day against the Colts.
Third-round pick Kerby Joseph got the start at safety and began the game with two tackles in the first quarter. As the game went on, he continued to make tackles, but often on plays that already had gone for first downs or sizable yardage gains for the Colts
Sam Ehlinger launches a 50-yard TD to Dezmon Patmon! @sehlinger3 @dadpat7 📱: Stream #DETvsIND on NFL+ bit.ly/3Cbi3x0 pic.twitter.com/0bh3PJpZA9
Good first half for: Mike Strachan Dez Patmon Alec Pierce Nick Cross Ifeadi Odenigbo Sam Ehlinger Bad first half for: Run defense Run offense Kickoff coverage #Colts
The Colts have been waiting for someone — anyone — not named Michael Pittman Jr. to step up and make plays at wide receiver. Against the Lions, Mike Strachan and Dezmon Patmon did that. The battle at wide receiver has taken a turn: indystar.com/story/sports/n…
Nick Foles NO-LOOK?! 👀 @NickFoles 📱: Stream #DETvsIND on NFL+ bit.ly/3Cbi3x0 pic.twitter.com/jGRVWStKmi
These are some of the best throws I've seen Ehlinger make since his arrival in Indy. That touchdown throw to Mike Strachan was gorgeous. I see real improvement from Sam as a passer. twitter.com/HolderStephen/…

We know the starters won't go today. Here's a few guys to keep an eye on today: — Tyquan Lewis (has looked really good of late) — Dayo Odeyingbo — Nick Cross (if he plays) — Jelani Woods — Mike Strachan — Sam Ehlinger
Like that the Colts are having rookie Nick Cross — their starting strong safety — play today. Rookie needs more reps before the season. Great read there in the end zone, breaking up another possible TD. He's typically in the right spot.
The main difference between Matt Ryan and Carson Wentz? Matty Ice gets rid of the ball in a few seconds while Wentz takes the sack here. #Colts pic.twitter.com/q913j2JNZg
Danny Pinter playing center for the Colts today and, honestly, that's his best position. I think he's been underwhelming at right guard.
Frank Reich got a little too greedy and paid the price . . . . . . (sarcasm)
What a read and finish on that 3rd-and-12 from Tyquan Lewis. Been watching him closely in camp — no signs of the knee injury he suffered last season. He looks faster and stronger, and has been one of the Colts' best depth defensive players in Westfield.
Colts WR Dezmon Patmon has, at times, been invisible during training camp. Two big plays on this drive so far for him. He needs more of that.
I'd throw Eric Johnson and Bernhard Raimann to this list as well
Indianapolis Colts linebacker Brandon King suffered a hamstring injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
King was signed this offseason as a special teamer and linebacker depth piece. He’s been battling with a quartet of undrafted rookie free agents for the final spot in the linebacker room.
Colts LB Brandon King (hamstring) is OUT for the remainder of the game.

Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle Dennis Kelly underwent a procedure for the knee injury he suffered during the first week of training camp, head coach Frank Reich told reporters Thursday.
Kelly has missed the majority of training camp due to the knee injury and still seems to have a good shot to make the roster if he can return relatively soon. The Colts haven’t put him on the PUP list, though it doesn’t matter all that much because he would count against the active roster either way until the season begins
Following the unfortunate news that rookie tight end Andrew Ogletree will miss his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL, the Indianapolis Colts worked out a quintet of tight ends, along with a cornerback, on Friday.
The Colts are still likely to keep just three tight ends on the roster following Ogletree’s injury, but it’s wise to keep an eye on the options available on the market.
Here are the five tight ends and one cornerback the Colts worked out on Friday, according to the league’s transaction wire
