Jameis Winston talking on ESPN right now, watching old film of Brees in a segment: "There's no way I can be Drew Brees, I have to be the best version of me."

Game News
Sean Payton immediately eliminated the excuses in his postgame press conference. Said it had nothing to do with the missing assistant coaches, COVID issues or being away from New Orleans, etc. Said they weren't good enough, starting with him.
Starters the Saints are without vs. Panthers: - Marshon Lattimore (hand) - C.J. Gardner-Johnson (knee) - Erik McCoy (calf) - Marcus Davenport (IR) - Kwon Alexander (IR) - Wil Lutz (IR) - Tre'Quan Smith (IR) - Michael Thomas (PUP/COVID) - David Onyemata (suspended)

New Orleans normally has 12 offensive assistant coaches, but with 7 testing positive for COVID, it will have only 5 for Sunday's game vs. Carolina. Â Available O assistants: OC Pete Carmichael, QBs Ronald Curry, off asst Kevin Petry, asst OL Zach Strief, off asst D.J. Williams.
Kamara carried the ball eight times for only five yards and caught four of six targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 26-7 loss to the Panthers.
The anticipated showdown between Kamara and Christian McCaffrey never materialized as the Saints offense as a whole had little success moving the ball. The New Orleans running back still led the team in catches, targets and, incredibly, yards from scrimmage with a mere 30. Things may not get easier for Kamara in Week 3 as he looks to rebound, as the Saints will be on the road in New England.
More disappointing injury news for the Saints. CB Marshon Lattimore and S C.J. Gardner-Johnson among the inactives today.
Wild: #Saints are playing today without 5 starters from Week 1: Marshon Lattimore, Erik McCoy, Marcus Davenport, CJ Gardner Johnson & Kwon Alexander. They played Week 1 in JAX. They're practicing in Dallas. And playing this week in Carolina. 8 coaches are also out due to COVID.
Zack Baun over here trying to redeem himself for the #Saints. I respect it.
Tanoh Kpassagnon, Erik McCoy, Pete Werner, Ian Book, Montravius Adams, Marshon Lattimore and CJ Gardner-Johnson are inactive
#Saints players I've enjoyed watching today: Demario Davis Payton Turner Carl Granderson Paulson Adebo Ryan Ramzcyk Blake Gilliken That's the list, for now. Not necessarily getting into the All-22 this week, but we'll see.
What a great play by Marcus Williams to stick with that through the catch process.
#BroncosCountry knows @ReemBoi25 is a baller. Here's a stat that drives point home, per #Broncos: Jackson is one of two defensive players (Malcolm Jenkins, N.O.) since 2010 with regular-season career totals of 700+ tackles, 20+ interceptions and 100+ passes defensed #Denver7
Saints outside corners during pregame warmups are Bradley Roby and Paulson Adebo. Again, I'd expect P.J. Williams to play the nickel spot
Y'all might not care right now, but Ty Montgomery has been awesome as a gunner through two weeks
Blake Gillikin with a 60-yard bomb of a punt. This kid has got a monster leg.
Yet another roughing-the-passer penalty against the Saints -- this time DT Christian Ringo -- after the Saints were again starting this series strong on defense. That's a tough penalty call.
The Saints are without the following defensive players today DL: Marcus Davenport, Tanoh Kpassagnon, David Onyemata LB: Kwon Alexander, Pete Werner, Chase Hansen DB: Marshon Lattimore, C.J. Gardner-Johnson
new #Saints jersey numbers icymi 21 CB Bradley Roby 36 CB Jordan Miller 54 LB Wynton McManis 57 DE Jalyn Holmes 62 C Austin Reiter
Looks like Desmond Trufant is expected to start in place of Marshon Lattimore. Carl Granderson for Marcus Davenport.
Taysom Hill providing a much-needed spark for the Saints' offense in the third quarter. Gained 9 there after gaining 7 on previous series.
A badly-needed turnover by the Saints defense, which is playing very well during this third quarter. A sack by DB P.J. Williams knocks the ball into DT Malcolm Roach's hands.
Jennifer Hale said Ian Book is going to be in charge of substitutions. "It's going to be the wild west down here."
CJGJ is walking off the field with Dennis Allen and a few other Saints staffers. Looked like they were testing him out to see if he could go today. We'll see soon enough.
When times are dark, you call on Lil'Jordan Humphrey.
Sam Darnold in the 1st half vs the Saints: 🔹 16/20 🔹 216 yards 🔹 2 TDs (📸 @Panthers) pic.twitter.com/owFYTHxrMl
Christian McCaffrey has been taken to the locker room for evaluation.
DJ Moore is out-targeting Robby Anderson 19-9 this season, but Anderson holds a 192-180 edge in air yards.

D.J. Moore put together a big first half. 💪 pic.twitter.com/Kip4B9CqRS
Matt Rhule's reaction after that missed extra point at least shows he's thinking what you guys are.
Had a pretty good shootin' day at the Bank. @Panthers now 2-0 for the first time in 4 years. Got this gem after the game. Owner David Tepper trying to sneak up on his wife, before they have a dance. Thought I would share it. Fun. pic.twitter.com/mVNcj6J6dO
The Panthers held the Saints to 6 first downs today. The last time New Orleans was limited to 6 first downs in a game: Brian Burns: 6 months old Derrick Brown: 6 months old Jeremy Chinn: 4 months old Gross-Matos: 4 month old Jaycee Horn: born 25 months later
Haason Reddick talks to the media after the game twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
If I'm Joe Brady, I like play action here. And I'm looking at 6-foot-6 Dan Arnold.
DaQuan Jones and Morgan Fox share a sack on fourth down. Dang.
Donte Jackson's tackling has been $ these first two weeks.
Zane Gonzalez good from 57 in warmups, though looked like his second attempt from there was wide right.
Just like Joe Brady drew it up. Five plays, 75 yards, three gains of 20 yards or more -- including Zylstra's 20-yard TD catch from Darnold. 7-0.

Morgan Fox speaks to the media after the win twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
Panthers bring in Royce Freeman to pass block. Didn't work. He gave up the sack to Roby. And then things got worse. Blocked FG. And the Saints have the ball at the Panthers' 38.
Juston Burris comes off the fielding pain. Sam Franklin replaces him on fourth down try.
Panthers' inactives (all healthy scratches): -WR Shi Smith -DT Phil Hoskins -G Michael Jordan -G Deonte Brown -T Trent Scott -TE Colin Thompson -DE Darryl Johnson
Alex Erickson in. Zylstra scored earlier. Panthers getting more WRs involved.
Dennis Daley is leaving the game slowly. Brady Christensen is in. Panthers down to their third-team left guard.
Good series for Bravvion Roy - a pressure followed by a PBU.
Carolina Panthers rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn turned heads at practice this week, snatching a filthy-looking interception on a fade over teammate C.J. Saunders. Unfortunately, as nice as it looked, it didn’t count.
Jaycee Horn’s first career INT. Credit to Haynes and Fox on the pressure.
Relentless pressure can win you a lot of games. pic.twitter.com/dEkDOnmd32
— John Ellis (@1PantherPlace) September 19, 2021
Although the game was pretty much in the bag, with the Panthers having led by 19 with just under three minutes remaining, this wasn’t a bad cherry on top. The pick was the first of Horn’s professional career and effectively iced the big upset over the visiting New Orleans Saints in Week 2
