Game News
Odell Beckham Jr. had sincere interest in playing for the Packers before he ultimately joined the Rams, and one issue that bogged down any talks was Green Bay's refusal to offer anything more than the veteran's minimum, according to sources.
#Rams WR Van Jefferson told me last week's bye was "right on time" for a team that needed a breather mentally and physically, while the banged-up #Packers are just trying to get to their bye next week. We're live all morning from Lambeau Field on @NFLGameDay @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/taal7hCgyg
I feel like if you have Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Jalen Ramsey all on the same defense and you're still giving up 30 points and getting zero sacks against a team missing three OL starters, then maybe talent isn't the problem.
Tell you what, Rasul Douglas is a baller. He lunges to tackle Tyler Higbee for only a 3-yard gain. Lots of space behind Douglas if he doesn't make that tackle.
OBJ slow to get up after Douglas and Amos sandwich him for a PBU on third down. Matt Gay hits a 36-yard field goal. Packers 13, Rams 10 with 7:20 left in the first half.
And this little piggy left Jalen Ramsey in the dust for a touchdown pic.twitter.com/fTGeziLQYc
Krys Barnes PBU in coverage on Cooper Kupp. We're living in a simulation.
Meanwhile the Rams are 0-3 since acquiring Von Miller with zero sacks.
Sean McVay should hire the Sean McVay of in-game decision making and clock managmenent (It's not him).
Sony Michel helping open the action game up a little?
Rams put together a solid 8-play, 75-yard drive there, springing Kupp loose for a couple of catches and capping with a 6-yard passing TD to Darrell Henderson. It's 20-17 Packers, 1:28 left in the half.
Rams inactives vs. Packers: QB Bryce Perkins, S JuJu Hughes, OLB Chris Garrett, OL Alaric Jackson, OL Tremayne Anchrum, WR Ben Skowronek theathletic.com/realtime/UdVwC…
Rams injury update: WR J.J. Koski (hamstring) questionable to return.
*Specifically* on the topic of special teams inconsistency, thought Troy Reeder had the strongest comments of the night. "Special teams is usually a high-effort attention-to-detail unit. It's one play at a time, you're out there for one down. Guys make a living doing it, and
The rare bad punt by Johnny Hekker sets the Packers up at their own 47. They lead, 36-25, with 6:24 remaining. Chance to ice it here.
Good to see #Packers safety @darnellsavage_ being able to Tweet about that ugly hit he took from Christian Rozeboom on the onside kick recovery. twitter.com/darnellsavage_…
Dont'e Deayon will be ACTIVE for the Rams today. Limited this week (thigh/leg).
Well look at this, Rams' special teams. Robert Rochell recovers a bobbled punt return attempt. Back-to-back positive special teams plays!
Monty Rice being helped off the field. The #Titans were already without starting LBs Rashaan Evans and David Long. No bueno.
The Rams will get a boost to their secondary today against the Packers. Dont’e Deayon, who missed Week 10 against the 49ers with a thigh injury, is officially active after being listed as questionable.
He was the only Rams player with an injury designation after Ben Skowronek was ruled out on Saturday. Deayon should be one of the Rams’ three starting cornerbacks against a potent Packers passing attack that’s led by Davante Adams.
There are no other surprises on the Rams’ list of inactives, with Bryce Perkins, JuJu Hughes, Chris Garrett, Alaric Jackson and Tremayne Anchrum are all inactive, along with Skowronek
Aaron Rodgers has three pick-6s in his entire career. Matthew Stafford has three in the last three games.
Aaron Jones, Rashan Gary and Allen Lazard are all active today vs. Rams.
Davante Adams said he sent his jersey to the Rams locker room postgame for Odell Beckham Jr. "I told him just don't put a hole in the wall this time."
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is now 35-9 as an NFL head coach. He's tied for the second fastest coach in the Super Bowl era to 35 wins, doing so in just 44 games (Chuck Knox did it in 43). The Packers are now 9-3 and 3.5 games up in the NFC North.
Dillon will be joined by Aaron Jones (knee) in the Packers backfield in the latter's return to the lineup Sunday versus the Rams, Mike Spofford of the team's official site reports.
Jones sat out last Sunday's loss at Minnesota due to an MCL sprain suffered one week prior, but his absence will be contained to one contest after he got through a pregame workout unscathed. The breakdown of reps between Jones and Dillon is up in the air. In the nine outings in which Jones has been healthy this season, Dillon ranged between four and 16 touches and 25 and 44 percent of the offensive snaps en route to 8.4 touches for 54.3 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring one receiving TD.
#Packers OLB Rashan Gary (elbow) is expected to return to the lineup today against #Rams, per source.
Injury update: #Packers WR Randall Cobb (groin) has been ruled out for the game. #LARvsGB
Preston Smith pressure. Rasul Douglas pick-6. This one might be over at Lambeau.
Mason Crosby hits a 45-yarder to put the Packers up 10-0. Big cheer from the crowd. I guess he was saving all his makes for the game after some iffy warmups.

Corey Bojorquez hits a 61-yard punt and it rolls to the 1. #RevengeGame
Marcedes Lewis carried that screen like a loaf of bread and fumbled it. Yosh Nijman, all 6'8" of him, pounced on the loose ball.
J.J. Koski just fumbled the punt and Krys Barnes recovered. Looks like Ty Summers stripped that.
#Packers NT Kenny Clark said the defense played with a light box almost the entire game and still managed to stop the run. "We played a solid game," he said.
Adrian Amos just stuffed Henderson on fourth and 1 from the L.A. 29. Packers in prime position to go up two scores early.
Packers D-coordinator Joe Barry sent more than four pass rushers after Stafford only once in his 40 dropbacks -- that's the third-lowest blitz rate (2.5%) in Stafford's career and the lowest since 2012, per @ESPNStatsInfo
Packers doing this on defense without ZaDarius Smith and Jaire Alexander.
Not sure why Amari Rodgers sprinted toward that ball while it was still bouncing. Just book it the other direction lol we all saw what happened to Malik Taylor in Kansas City.
Dominique Dafney is getting credit for the forced fumble. twitter.com/mattschneidman…
The Gary Effect. Wow, Gary blasted through Andrew Whitworth, who was flagged for holding, and Preston Smith recovers. twitter.com/WesHod/status/…
The ball comes out but Yosh Nijman has hands of an angel and recovers it at the 10.
Equanimeous St. Brown talked about how much of an emphasis he put on special teams this year. He makes an open field solo tackle...UNTIL The Rams lined up offsides on the punt, giving the #Packers a first down. This has been a wild first half.
Eric Stokes kicking himself after that one. Should have had an easy pick-6, first of his career, but #Packers rookie couldn't catch the ball.
