The Green Bay Packers took a first-quarter lead for the third consecutive game when rookie receiver Jayden Reed high-stepped into the end zone from 16 yards out to give Green Bay a 7-0 lead over the New York Giants on Monday night.
Reed took a jet sweep moving from his left to right, got the edge and went untouched for the game’s first score.
The touchdown was Reed’s seventh of the season and his second rushing touchdown. The second-round pick has touchdown in four of the last five games

One of the most positive aspects of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s development in the 2023 season is how he’s performed against the blitz. Against five or more pass-rushers this season, Love had completed 80 of 130 passes for 859 yards, 479 air yards, six touchdowns, one interception, and a passer rating of 93.1. Against the Kansas City Chiefs in Green Bay’s 27-19 Week 13, Love had 15 dropbacks against the blitz, and 11 completions on 15 attempts for 91 yards, 39 air yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a passer rating of 128.1

The Green Bay Packers elevated running back Kenyan Drake from the practice squad to the gameday roster for Week 14. The move was announced Monday, making Drake available for Matt LaFleur and the Packers for Monday night’s showdown with the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
Drake, who signed in Green Bay on Dec. 5, will give the Packers a veteran option at running back behind A.J. Dillon and Patrick Taylor. The elevation is an obvious response to the availability of Aaron Jones, who is not expected to play for a third consecutive game due to a knee injury

The 49ers’ ticket to the postseason is officially punched after the Giants upset the Packers 24-22 at MetLife Stadium on Monday night. They’re the first team to clinch a playoff spot this season.
New York looked to be in position for a game-sealing score when running back Saquon Barkley went streaking up the sideline deep into Packers territory with just over three minutes left. The RB fumbled though and the Packers recovered, leading to a go-ahead Green Bay touchdown.
The Giants and quarterback Tommy DeVito took over with 1:33 to go and responded with a game-winning field goal drive that sent the Packers to the loss column and sent the 49ers to the playoffs
