The Buffalo Bills relied on their defense and fast starts on offense during each half to take the 35-0 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.
The first half started fast, reminiscent of last year’s final week 56-26 drubbing of the Dolphins, by scoring easily on their first two drives. It took 12 seconds of Bills offensive play to open the scoring for the game. Bills running back Devin Singletary burst through the Miami defense on a 46-yard rush:
On the Bills’ second drive, they moved down the field with little resistance once again, culminating with a Stefan Diggs touchdown reception. Buffalo grabbed a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter. It looked like a route, but the Bills’ offense went idle for the remainder of the half
Josh Allen surpassed 10,000 career pass yards today while making his 45th career start He joins HOF Jim Kelly as the only Bills to do so in their first 45 career starts Kelly also did so in his 45th career start #BillsMafia #BuffaloBills
Second TD of the day for Zack Moss! 📺 #BUFvsMIA: FOX pic.twitter.com/8Tyz6HwwYQ
Cole Beasley got blown up on 2nd down and it looked like some chirping from Miami DBs. He didn't react to any of it. Came back next play and caught a quick slant for a 1st down. Didn't say anything. Walked back to huddle.
Mitchell Trubisky has entered the game at quarterback. #BUFvsMIA | #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/x9pRw9HjoW
Dawson Knox with a second down reception for nine yards. Reggie Gilliam gets the third down carry and he's marked a little short. It's 4th and inches and Allen sneaks for the 1st down.
Here's Jordan Poyer flat out cutting off my man @MattParrino because he couldn't wait to gush about Taron Johnson. Johnson: 4 tackles, sack, forced fumble. Well deserved. #Billsmafia pic.twitter.com/9uIT6zgaKw
Injury Update: Tremaine Edmunds is questionable to return (cramping).
Big knock on Greg Rousseau was how he fell into most of sacks in 2019 at Miami. Back in the building today and he has his first 2 NFL sacks. Looks a lot like he did on tape. He's sneaky and he's a solid tackler. Think he's a real find.
After missing the season opener, Zack Moss will get his shot in Week 2.
As the Buffalo Bills ready themselves to visit the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that running back will be active:
Players expected to play Sunday include Eric Ebron, Peyton Barber, Trey Sermon, Zach Ertz, Eric Fisher, Quenton Nelson, A.J. Brown, Josh Reynolds, Gabriel Davis, Zack Moss, Tyrann Matthieu and Frank Clark.

Levi Wallace is out of the medical tent with helmet in hand. #Bills
Matt Milano with a fumble recovery as #Bills get takeaway in the red zone! Huge!
Efe Obada and Boogie Basham walked on to the field here in untied sneakers. Everyone else warming up in cleats. Guessing they're both inactive today.
Dane Jackson with what looks like a huge tackle to stop Dolphins short of yard to gain on 4th & 2. Another turnover on downs. #Bills ball.
The Dolphins had....three (3) offensive linemen blocking Star Lotulelei on that last play
If the Bills actually go for it on this 4th-and-1 from the BUF 24, you will not be able to convince me that Sean McDermott respects this Dolphins' offense even a little bit
'D' has been solid all game, but heck of a series there. After 8-yd gain on 1st down by Fins, Hughes forces inc. on QB pressure on 2nd & 2, White with PBU on 3rd & 2 & Taron Johnson jars ball loose on hit, turnover on downs. #Bills ball. Fins 0-3 on 4th down today.
Micah Hyde says they couldn't have scripted better performance today for defense. Team made adjustments and they wanted to make some plays. Great execution, he said.
Some mutual respect after that Devante Parker catch between him and Bills CB Tre'Davious White
A.J. Klein almost gets the sack on first down. Leads to a Brissett incompletion. Justin Zimmer gets the second down sack. A.J. Epenesa was there first but just missed the sack. 3rd and 20: Greg Rousseau and Epenesa both bring down Brissett for a sack. Rousseau there first.
Give the game ball to Leslie Frazier. The #Bills' defensive coordinator cooked up a near-perfect game plan that helped the team's coaching staff earn an 'A' grade. Here is my full report card from Miami after Buffalo's big win, new @TBNSports: buffalonews.com/sports/bills/r…
What a find Justin Zimmer has been. Gets a sack after great pressure from AJ Epenesa forces Brissett into the sack. CC @MattDHerman

Could McDermott get to that point with Brian Daboll? twitter.com/bytimgraham/st…
#Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered bruised ribs, source said. X-rays were negative, but he's in a lot of pain. MRI tomorrow.
Outstanding tackle by Micah Hyde on third down. He closes in on Myles Gaskin immediately on a reception. Dolphins punt and it bounces out of bounds.
9. I think Tua could be solid against the Bills today with the RPO game and quick reads to Jaylen Waddle vs. Taron Johnson. Dolphins run game from those looks were pretty good last week. I'm expecting the Bills defense to force at least one turnover today, though. twitter.com/_take_a_bow/st…
I think Christian Wilkins and Mike Gesicki affect the game today. #MIAvsBUF
DeVante Parker dropped a TD. Albert Wilson dropped a potential TD. Jakeem Grant gets a catch near the goal line then fumbles away to 49ers. Dolphins look like a flawed team that didn't come ready to play today.
So, nothing broken for Tua, but the MRI will tell the full story on cartilage, etc. Officially, he remains questionable to return. Jacoby Brissett is in against the #Patriots. twitter.com/TomPelissero/s…
Xavien Howard on mood in locker room after Dolphins 35-0 loss to Bills: "Like a funeral."
Preston Williams is active for Dolphins for 1st game since his season-ending foot injury last year. On other end, 2020 1st rd pick Noah Igbinoghene is a healthy scratch for 2nd straight game. Other inactives: Will Fuller, Trill Williams, Hunter Long, Elijah Campbell, Greg Little
Injury Update: Jesse Davis has a knee injury and is questionable to return.
Injury Update: Jakeem Grant has an ankle injury and is questionable to return.
The Dolphins already have 7 penalties. That's very unusual for a Brian Flores-coached team.
Dolphins RG Robert Hunt: "It was a rough day for us… We're a young line and we're trying to improve. But we can't keep saying that shit."
The Dolphins are 0-for-2 on fourth down today vs. Bills. On the first try, Tua injured his ribs. On the second try, Malcolm Brown came up short.
Jerome Baker forced a fumble. The Dolphins are the best in the NFL in forcing fumbles and forcing turnovers. Jevon Holland recovers.
Dolphins are giving Salvon Ahmed and Albert Wilson a chance to play with Jacoby Brissett on this drive
Dolphins DE Emmanuel Ogbah said the team has a "next man up philosophy" but "it hurt losing Tua"
Dolphins inactives vs the Bills: WR Will Fuller, DB Trill Williams, TE Hunter Long, DB Elijah Campbell, OL Greg Little, and CB Noah Igbinoghene es.pn/3lBQ0wF
If it could have possibly gone wrong in Week 2 of the 2021 regular season, it probably did for the Miami Dolphins. Second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa got blasted by free runners in the pass rush in the team’s first two possessions before bruised ribs knocked him from the game. The Dolphins suffered fumbles and interceptions and sacks and uncharacteristic personal foul penalties. And then there were the drops by Miami’s overhauled receiving corps — with Jaylen Waddle, DeVante Parker, Albert Wilson and Preston Williams all contributing. So, too, did RB Salvon Ahmed on the team’s final possession on 4th down for what could have set up a score. Eventually, mercifully, the game ended. And the Dolphins fell to the Buffalo Bills by a final score of 35-0
