The Buffalo Bills have faced former first-round pick Shaq Lawson in the past. Another round of that will not be happening in Week 18.
Ahead of heading to Highmark Stadium for their season finale, the New York Jets (4-12) released Lawson on Saturday.
The pass rusher was a first rounder for the Bills in 2016. In addition to Lawson being cut, so was safety Sharrod Neasman.
Lawson was traded by the Houston Texans during the offseason to New York.
After Lawson’s Bills career ended, he originally signed with the Miami Dolphins but was eventually traded to the Texans

The Buffalo Bills special teams unit came to play against the New York Jets.
The teams unit had a big play early and it came in rare form. For the first time since 2016, the Bills recorded a blocked punt.
