Status: Out. Return late March?
Craig Stammen (elbow) will have arthroscopic surgery Sunday and is out for the season. Stammen was due to be shut down in a couple of starts anyways. The surgery is to clear out a bone spur in the back of his right elbow. He will be healthy for spring training. The 25-year old finishes his rookie season with a 4-7 record, 5.11 ERA in 19 starts. He should register a faint blip in mixed league drafts for 2010.
