- What do the player ratings mean?
The player ratings assigned to each player is how the system evaluates their worth compared to others. Their value DOES NOT equate to the points they are expected to average each week. These are two separate things. However, you can check out their fantasy stats and player news by clicking on their names.
- Can you explain the player graphs?
There are three lines in the graph. The blue line shows the best performance for a player in the same position each day. The black line shows what the average points a player gets with the same position. Use those two lines as a guide to decide how well the player in question is performing. Ultimately you want the green line to be above the black line as much as possible. Also its important to note that the most recent games are read from left to right. So 1 would be his most recent game.
At times you may notice that the player performs better than the maximum that should be allowed. This is of course impossible. The reason is because he is being compared against the position he plays most often and NOT the position he plays that particular day.
- What are player ratings based on?
Many things are taken into account to formulate a player rating. I can't give away the secret sauce, but the player ratings are based on a CBSSports standard head 2 head point system. If you would like me to add support for other point systems then please contact me.
- Is this information up to date?
Absolutely! Every morning the stats from the previous day are added.
- Do you have direct links to a trade so I can share it with friends?
Absolutely. I made sure to include a direct link to each trade. What would a trade analyzer be if you couldn't show the results to friends?!
- Will you include a trade analyzer for the NHL?
The NHL Trade Analyzer will be available for the 2009/2010 season. Stay tuned!
- Interested in licensing the trade anaylzer?
Contact me as soon as possible so we can work something out.
- How will I know when you update the trade analyzer?
That is easy. The build number located below the TA will inform you of the date of the last update. The next major milestone will be version 2.x. The way points are determined for each player will be constantly tweaked and updated as the season goes along. The more input you provide, the better and more accurate it will become.
