Betancourt split the season between the Mariners and Royals, but he was never a desirable fantasy option with either club. He batted just .245 -- a steep departure from the .286 batting average he produced from 2006-08 -- with six home runs, 49 RBIs, 40 runs and three steals. The decline in his batting average combined with his lack of speed at a position that typically produces steal-hungry players makes the shortstop a questionable fantasy option in 2010.
