Please remember to “prop shop” and make sure you are looking at all the sportsbooks in your state to get the best value. This may require you to open multiple accounts at various sportsbooks across your state. It is totally worth it to find the best odds so you don’t pay more of a premium than you have to.

In baseball, there are a slew of fantasy leagues a person can join. You can join an AL or NL-Only league, or play in an interleague. You can play Head-to-Head, or Rotisserie. You can draft in different ways, usually either Snake or Auciton. And you can alter long you hold onto players, playing in a Redraft, Keeper, or Dynasty league.

At this time of year it can be tough to come up with baseball content that matters. As I pointed out last week, a good majority of top-shelf free agents haven’t been scooped up yet, and we are over two months away from the regular season.

With the NFL playoffs upon us, it is officially baseball season in the fantasy sports world. You know how Valentine’s Day decorations and candy go up before Christmas arrives and Easter decorations appear even before February 1st? The same is true when it comes to fantasy sports. We are always looking ahead

Sixteen weeks and it all comes down to this. There are two weeks left in the regular season and for most of your fantasy leagues, this week is your Championship. For those of you playing for a title, congratulations. For the rest of you, wait til next year.

It is amazing that week after week the numbers are so similar. Invariably every week, between 15 and 20 receivers are targeted 10 or more times and between 10 and 15 running backs get 20 or more touches. The names aren’t always the same (although most are), but it never fails.

The Red Zone Report is such an interesting study, week in and week out. It really encapsulates who is getting the most usage when it really matters. And at this time of year, it can be instructive when projecting who to focus on in 2024 at your draft. As always, let's use the FantasySP Red Zone Tool to find the players who are getting work in the most important areas of the field.

With only three weeks left in the season and only one or two in your fantasy seasons, we are really getting down to the wire. Any move could be the difference between moving on and being knocked out. In one league, David Njoku on my bench cost me my first-round matchup.

Numbers are amazing. Stats and data are, too. Week after week, when preparing to write this article, I obviously look at players' stats using the FantasySP Red Zone Tool. And invariably, running backs get more touches in the red zone than receivers get targets. The ceiling for receiver red zone targets is always three or four, only rarely going above that mark. The numbers for running backs are always higher, usually doubled. Because a team usually has multiple receivers on the field but only one red zone back, that player can be insanely valuable for fantasy football.

As much as it’s important for your players to get targeted often, it’s even more important that they convert those targets into receptions, yards, and touchdowns. There’s an adage in basketball that a shooter shoots. And that’s true to a certain extent, but going 11 for 36 doesn’t help a team, it hurts them. Not only is that player missing those attempts within that possession, they are hindering someone else, who may have made some of those missed shots.
