Ryan O'Halloran, of The Washington Times, reports Washington Redskins TE Chris Cooley (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 6. He has been ruled out for the team's Week 9 game.

Status: Out. Out indefinitely
Chris Cooley's (ankle surgery) best-case scenario is to return for the Week 12 game against the Eagles. We're not counting on it as even Cooley admitted concern that the team will place him on injured reserve. Cooley said he wants to come back even if the Redskins are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, which they almost certainly will be. Expect some more news Monday when Cooley goes for a second opinion.
