Each NBA first round playoff series has now played two games. We took a look at stats after game 1s and now will discuss how players have looked in the first two games combined.

In the Western Conference, Oklahoma City has a 2-0 series lead over New Orleans, as does Minnesota over Phoenix and Denver over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas series is the only one tied at 1-1.

In the Eastern Conference, Cleveland has a 2-0 series lead over Orlando, as does New York over Philadelphia. Boston and Miami and Milwaukee and Indiana are tied at a game each.

Top Playoff Performers

Indiana’s Pascal Siakam is leading the league in playoff points per game (36.5) so far this postseason. He’s shooting 64.6% from the field and 50% from 3-point land. Siakam is also averaging 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 0.5 steals, with just 0.5 turnovers per game.

Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard is at 34.4 points per game, doing most of that damage in the first half of the first two games. He’s shooting 46.7% from the floor and is 50% from 3-point land as well. Lillard is also averaging 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 0.5 steals, with just 2 turnovers per game.

Something to keep in mind is that Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn’t played in the playoffs yet, and his presence could hurt the production for Siakam (guarding him) and Lillard (taking away several shots).

Philadelphia’s Tyrese Maxey is averaging 34 points per game, with Joel Embiid a bit banged up, but still at 31.5 points per game. Maxey also averages 7 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1 block, while turning the ball over 3.5 times. Embiid is averaging 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 0.5 blocks, with 2 turnovers per game.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic has been his normal dominant self, averaging 29.5 points, 16 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 2 steals and just 1.5 turnovers. He has one of the two playoff triple-doubles. Jokic is shooting 61.5% overall and 42.9% from deep.
