Ryan Kreidler | Fantasy Outlook

Ryan Kreidler is capitalizing on a major opportunity in the Twins' outfield while showing improved pop at the plate.

Kreidler has taken over as the primary center fielder for the third-place Twins (46-47), who are currently riding a four-game winning streak. With Byron Buxton sidelined by a hip strain, Kreidler has stepped into a full-time role and produced a solid .273 average over his last 23 games. While his numbers have cooled recently, his recent highlight-reel home runs suggest he has found a higher offensive gear than in previous seasons.

Our models suggest some regression toward his .196 season projection, which aligns more with his career history in Detroit. However, his five home runs in 2026 represent a significant breakout compared to prior years where he struggled to maintain power at the major league level. While his strikeout rate remains high, he has clearly developed into more than just a glove-first utility player for this Minnesota lineup.

Minnesota finishes their series with Cleveland before a favorable weekend set against the Angels. Today's matchup against Gavin Williams (3.89 ERA) is neutral, but the outlook brightens significantly against Grayson Rodriguez (8.42 ERA) and Ryan Johnson (6.99 ERA) on Friday and Saturday. Facing these struggling pitchers provides a prime window for Kreidler to provide cheap counting stats in deeper leagues. Start.
