Adam McCalvy, of MLB.com, reports Pittsburgh Pirates SP Donnie Veal was named the Arizona Fall League Pitcher of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Nov. 1. He did not allow a run in two starts during the week, giving up only five hits to go along with two walks and seven strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings. Veal leads starters in the AFL with a 0.71 ERA and is tied for the league lead in wins with two.
