Trevor Megill | Fantasy Outlook

Trevor Megill continues to dominate the ninth inning for the first-place Brewers

Megill has been untouchable recently, posting a perfect 0.00 ERA and a minuscule 0.55 WHIP over his last 11 innings of work. The first-place Brewers sit at 59-37 atop the NL Central, and Megill is firmly entrenched as the primary closer in the Milwaukee bullpen. His recent dominance includes being scoreless in 19 of his last 20 appearances, making him one of the most reliable high-leverage arms in the National League.

While his season ERA sits at 3.00, his underlying metrics suggest the recent scoreless surge is no fluke. His 11.50 K/9 and elite 4.60 strikeout-to-walk ratio are an exact match for the breakout form he displayed last season. Having already surpassed our conservative preseason projection of 10 saves, he is comfortably on pace to push for 30-plus saves with ratios that act as a significant asset to fantasy rotations.

Milwaukee enters the final stretch of the week with a three-game home stand against the Marlins starting Friday. Megill is projected for a dominant 0.49 ERA and a 0.55 WHIP over the remaining three games, providing a prime opportunity to collect saves against a struggling Miami offense. With the Brewers looking to snap a three-game slide, high-leverage opportunities should be plentiful. Start.
