News: Indians SP Carlos Carrasco left Thursday's start at Boston in the fourth inning after getting hit on the back of the leg by Jacoby Ellsbury's line drive. He was helped off the field after dropping to the ground behind the mound. The club said he has a bruised left quadriceps. "He's OK -- missed his knee," Cleveland manager Eric Wedge said. "Obviously it caught a big part of his leg there, but he's going to be OK. He'll be sore for a while, but he'll be OK." The Associated Press reports Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco (leg) left the game early Thursday, Oct. 1, after being hit on the back of the leg by a line drive. The team is saying he has a bruised quadriceps. Carrasco allowed three runs and nine hits in 3 1/3 innings to receive the loss to the Boston Red Sox. It was only his fifth major league start.

Carlos Carrasco yielded three runs on nine hits over 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Indians on Thursday night. Carrasco wraps up a disappointing first big-league stint with an 0-4 record and 8.87 ERA. Opponents hit .400 against him in his five starts for the Tribe. He'll need to gain better command of the strike zone in order to be a factor for Cleveland next season.
