Outlook Brandon Nimmo
Nimmo finding rhythm atop the Rangers lineup during road trip
Nimmo has been electric lately, batting .345 with a massive 1.008 OPS over his last seven games. He is currently entrenched as the everyday right fielder for a 39-42 Texas squad that sits second in the AL West and is looking to build on a one-game win streak. While he has taken a few partial rest days at DH recently to manage his workload, his health is stable and he remains the engine of an offense currently missing key pieces like Evan Carter and Danny Jansen.
His recent surge has brought his season batting average to .261, which aligns closely with our projection of .252. While his eight home runs so far are a bit behind his 25-homer pace from last season, his 19 doubles and elite on-base skills suggest the power and run-scoring potential remain high. As he continues to thrive in his primary role at the top of the order, we expect his counting stats to accelerate toward his established career baselines.
Looking at the remainder of the week, the Rangers finish a series in Toronto with three games against a variety of arms. Today’s matchup against Patrick Corbin (4.91 ERA) and Sunday's finale against Shane Bieber (9.82 ERA) are highly favorable for a hitter of Nimmo's caliber. Although Dylan Cease presents a difficult challenge on Saturday, the overall volume of games and two clear soft landing spots make him a locked-in fantasy option. Start.
