Impacts: The No. 1 pick in the NFL draft became the first rookie to throw five TDs in a game since Ray Buivid for the Bears in 1937. The Detroit rookie, though, probably won't get a chance to repeat his accomplishments on Thanksgiving. Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Monday that Stafford was "extremely sore" after sustaining a separated left shoulder on the next-to-last play of the game, and that he wouldn't play against Green Bay unless the pain subsides.

Updating a previous item, Lions coach Jim Schwartz admitted Monday that Matthew Stafford (left shoulder) is "unlikely" to play on Thanksgiving Day against the Packers. Schwartz says tests confirmed that Stafford doesn't have a significant injury and that his non-throwing shoulder is structurally sound, but the short week doesn't give him enough time to prepare. NFL Network's Mike Lombardi and Nick Cotsonika of the Detroit Free Press both report that Stafford is unlikely to play. Daunte Culpepper is on track to make his third start of 2009.
