The San Francisco 49ers took a big blow to their already struggling offensive line Tuesday, losing Pashos for the season with a broken left shoulder blade.
Impacts: The 49ers placed Pashos on injured reserve a day after he had an MRI exam on the shoulder. The veteran offensive lineman was hurt during Sunday's 24-21 loss at Houston, his first start at right tackle in place of Adam Snyder.

The Associated Press reports the San Francisco 49ers have placed OT Tony Pashos (shoulder) on Injured Reserve, ending his 2009 season. Pashos suffered a broken shoulder blade in the team's Week 7 game.

49ers placed RT Tony Pashos (fractured scapula) on injured reserve, ending his season. Pashos is no great shakes at this point in his career, but he was an improvement on Adam Snyder and Barry Sims. Snyder is expected to move back to right tackle for the remainder of the season. Pashos is due to hit free agency after the season, and his starting days are numbered.
