Jim Leonhard was limited in Friday's practice, according to the Jets' official website. He underwent surgery on his broken thumb Monday.
Our View: Leonhard is questionable for Sunday's game at New England. Eric Smith would be the top candidate to replace him at strong safety if needed.
Jets | Leonhard misses practice Thursday
Dan Leberfeld, of Jets Confidential, reports New York Jets S Jim Leonhard (thumb) missed the team’s practice Thursday, Nov. 19, and he likely will not play Week 11. Even if Leonhard is active for the game, he would only play on a limited basis. Leonhard will be replaced in the starting lineup by S Eric Smith.
