Packers | Nelson improving
Pete Dougherty, of The Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers second-year WR Jordy Nelson seemed more sure of himself and his footwork while running routes this offseason. He caught the ball well, and seemed to get open enough that QB Aaron Rodgers started looking for him on the field.

Packers | Looking for Rodgers to improve
Bob McGinn, of The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin said the team expects QB Aaron Rodgers to play better during his sophomore year as a starter. "He's got to play better. No doubt about it," Philbin said. Philbin said the team was kind of paper champions in a lot of regards offensively last year. He noted they stunk on opening drives, and did not play well during the two-minute drill. Rodgers was 6-10 as a starting quarterback, and the Packers are looking for him to really the troops this season. Philbin said the team also needs to do a better job coaching.
