Pacers' beat writer Mike Wells is reporting that guard Travis Diener will miss at least four weeks after having surgery on his big toe.
Our View: Diener averaged just 3.7 points in 55 games last season with the team, so they should be able to make it without him. It might be longer than a month, but he will be back to his reserve role before long.

Reserve PG Travis Diener has undergone successful surgery on his left big toe. He is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks. Diener missed all of preseason and has not played at all in the regular season. Last season, he averaged 3.7 points as a backup. This year he is unlikely to be a factor even when healthy.
