News: The Detroit News reports Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince is on Detroit's current four-game road trip, but he's not expected to play any time soon with a ruptured disc in his back. "It's very frustrating," said Prince on Tuesday. "When you're not playing, you're not part of that family, that bond, and you want to be part it, part of being with the guys. Your competitiveness makes you want to play through anything, but you can't do it." Prince has missed the last seven games and pronounced himself "out indefinitely." [...]

Status: Sidelined. Out indefinitely
While the current remedy for the ruptured disc in Tayshaun Prince's back is rest, surgery is not being ruled out, and he isn't expected back for the foreseeable future. The Pistons learned of the injury on Tuesday, and after it initially responded well to treatment, it wasn't long before his back flared up again. Owners could wait and see if a timetable is released within the next week or so, but we wouldn't hold it against you if you went with a hot free agent instead.
