Status: Out. Possibly out for season
Scott Downs is not expected to pitch the remainder of the season. Downs has been nursing a sore hamstring. If he doesn't appear in a game, he will finish the season with nine saves and a 3.09 ERA. He will compete for the closer's job in spring training, although the job seems Jason Frasor's to lose.
