Indians | Could move Wood midseason
Indians.MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince reports Cleveland Indians CL Kerry Wood is unlikely to be moved this offseason because of the abundance of closers available, and the team would probably have to eat some of Wood's contract to deal him. Wood has an $11 million vesting option for 2011 that kicks in if he finishes 55 games in 2010. If he's on pace to reach that mark, the team will likely push to trade him midseason.

FoxSports.com is reporting that the Indians are in no hurry to move closer Kerry Wood this offseason. The Indians have said they will listen to offers, but they do not plan on trading him unless they get blown away by an offer.
Our View: The Indians would likely have to pay a significant portion of Wood's remianing $10.5 million salary, so there is no reason for them to feel like they have to make a move. Still, Wood could still be moved for the right price, but for no it looks like he will remain with the Indians.

Updating previous reports, the Cleveland Indians are not expected to trade CL Kerry Wood during the offseason, because the club would likely have to pay a significant chunk of his $10.5 million salary for next year, according to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com.
