Justin Foscue commands everyday playing time for the surging Rangers, but a recent cold streak limits his weekly appeal.
Despite going hitless in his last 11 at-bats, Foscue has established himself as the everyday second baseman for the second-place Rangers, who are riding a three-game winning streak. Injuries to Corey Seager and Josh Smith have cleared a path for regular playing time, helping him maintain a decent .255 average with two home runs over his last 21 games.
While his sparkling .303 batting average over the last two weeks turned heads, our models suggest regression toward his projected .225 baseline is likely. He lacks elite power or speed, making his current slump more of an expected big-league adjustment phase than a temporary fluke.
