News: Reds SP Bronson Arroyo has decided against surgery on his right wrist for the carpal tunnel syndrome that has nagged him for years but improved this season when he gave up playing the guitar. "I'm going to wait it out for another year," Arroyo said on Sunday. "I feel too good throwing the ball now." He led the Reds with 15 wins this season and had a 3.84 ERA that was best in the rotation. According to FoxSports.com, Reds' pitcher Bronson Arroyo has decided against having surgery on his wrist this offseason. Arroyo has suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome for several years.
Our View: Arroyo has decided to be a bit more conservative in trying to get his wrist healed up, so surgery is not the answer. He has been pitching awfully well over the last few months, so apparently the injury isn't all that bad.
