Seahawks | Mora calls out Spencer
Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora pointed out C Chris Spencerâs (thumb) struggles during their Week 14 loss. Mora also appeared to question Spencerâs thumb injury. Spencer is playing with an injury right thumb, but he has been snapping with his left hand for the past month. Mora said, âWeâve got a center thatâs trying to snap with his left hand because heâs got a cast on his right hand. Heâs had that on for what seems like forever. Iâm not quite sure why he still has a cast on his hand â but he does. That is a factor. We see it affecting our shotgun snaps, affecting a lot of our running plays â the timing on offense has to be crisp and when you canât get the snap to the quarterback youâve got no chance in getting a successful play.â Spencer says he canât squeeze the ball with his right hand, which is why he is snapping with his left hand.
