Legend's Farewell Tour Offers Late-Round Value in Steel City Reunion

Aaron Rodgers has announced that the 2026 season will be his last, setting up a highly anticipated farewell tour in Pittsburgh. Reunited with head coach Mike McCarthy, the 42-year-old signal-caller remains the unquestioned starter atop the depth chart. To bolster his final campaign, the team recently added former Packers teammate Robert Tonyan, supplementing an offense that already features DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr.

While Rodgers is no longer the elite fantasy force of his MVP years, our models project a highly efficient season with 3,137 passing yards and 20 touchdowns against just nine interceptions. After posting 3,322 yards and 24 touchdowns in 16 games last season, he has proven his ability to distribute the ball effectively. He offers limited rushing upside but excels at minimizing mistakes, providing a safe weekly floor.

In 1.0 PPR leagues, Rodgers' ADP has stabilized around pick 203 after a brief early-June spike. With fantasy managers largely overlooking him, his current draft cost represents a major value opportunity. Given our projection of 192.9 fantasy points, he is an excellent late-round target for QB-streaming strategies or a reliable high-floor backup in superflex formats.
