Power Surge Makes Josh Bell an Intriguing Mid-Week Option

Josh Bell has shown encouraging signs of life recently, batting .286 with two home runs and eight runs scored over his last 14 days, though his average has dipped to .217 over the past week. He remains locked in as the everyday designated hitter for the third-place Twins (31-38), who are searching for an offensive spark with catcher Ryan Jeffers currently on the injured list.

On the season, Bell is hitting just .231, but our models project him to rebound toward a .246 average with nine more home runs over 468 projected at-bats. While his recent power flash is a welcome sight for fantasy managers, his elevated strikeout rate over his last 13 games warns of continued batting average volatility.

With the week already underway, the Twins wrap up their series against Detroit's Keider Montero before heading home to host the Cardinals. Favorable weekend matchups against Kyle Leahy (4.42 ERA) and Matthew Liberatore (4.48 ERA) give Bell solid upside before facing Michael McGreevy on Sunday. He is a strong lineup option.
