The Sports Network reports Tampa Bay Rays 1B Carlos Pena (fingers) underwent successful surgery to fix two broken fingers on his left hand Thursday, Sept. 10. Dr. Doug Carlan inserted pins into Pena's index and middle fingers during the procedure. The pins will be taken out in four to six weeks, and he is expected to be fully recovered in eight to 10 weeks.
