Albert Pujols has been named the NL Player of the Week, according to the AP. Pujols batted .588 (10-for-17) with three home runs and 10 RBI last week. He impressively homered in three consecutive games from September 25-27.He is also a candidate for the MVP award. Teammates Cesar Izturis, Troy Glaus, Felipe Lopez, and Ryan Ludwich were also considered for the weekly honor. The Cardinals closed out the season with a six-game winning streak.
