Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 18

Dak Prescott, Cowboys

Dallas is shooting to be the number two seed in the NFC, and they’ve got a great chance to do that if they can beat the Washington Commanders. Dallas has not looked right the last couple of games and I think this is a really great game for their passing attack to get back on track, so I’m all in on Dak against a horrible Commanders secondary.

Geno Smith, Seahawks

Geno has a clause in his contract that guarantees him $2 million if the Seahawks make the playoffs, so you know that he’ll be giving his all. Arizona plays just well enough to score, which should ensure that Seattle has to move the ball on offense.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 17: Kyler Murray, D'Andre Swift, Deebo Samuel

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 17

Jalen Hurts, Eagles

This game is a huge one for Hurts because the Eagles’ offense needs to get back into sync if they want to make another run at the Super Bowl. They play a Cardinals defense that allows the fourth-most touchdown passes and the sixth-highest yards per attempt. This is as good a get-well spot as there is, and I think you must ride Hurts to DFS glory.

Brock Purdy, 49ers

Well, the bubble may have burst on Brock Purdy’s chances to win the MVP, but that doesn’t mean he’s not an outstanding quarterback in a nut matchup. I expect San Francisco to have a big rebound weekend and Purdy to be at the center of it. The Commanders have let up 33 passing touchdowns, which is the most in the league, as well as the third-most passing yards. The 49ers should be able to score at will, and Purdy should be good for at least 22 fantasy points, if not more.

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 16

Justin Fields, Bears

There are so many things that I like about Fields this week: The Cardinals let up the third-most passing touchdowns as well as the third-highest YPA at 7.74. You know this means that Fields is going to take a lot of shots deep downfield, which is what we want to see, along with his rushing yards. The Bears’ defense is playing at a really high level, which should give him more opportunities than most games, and he always plays better at home. He feels like the boom QB of the slate.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 15: Brock Purdy, Logan Thomas, Puka Nacua

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 15

Brock Purdy, 49ers

Is Brock Purdy the league MVP? That’s yet to be determined, but I know he’s playing at a really high level. He’s thrown for over 3,500 yards thus far this season to go along with 25 touchdowns and 138 rushing yards. The 49ers have the highest implied total on the slate, and I can’t imagine a world where they don’t beat Arizona handily. If you’re not playing Purdy, please call my office for an immediate appointment.

Matthew Stafford, Rams

The Commanders are allowing the most touchdown passes to opposing quarterbacks as well as the fourth most passing yards. This is a game that Los Angeles should dominate, considering Washington’s secondary has been porous all season. Moreover, Los Angeles is playing at home, and I see Stafford throwing for at least 260 yards and three touchdowns.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 14: Justin Fields, Austin Ekeler, Isaiah Likely

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 14

Justin Fields, Bears

Detroit struggles with mobile quarterbacks, as they have allowed the most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season. They also tend to let up a lot of big plays in their secondary which is good for a player like Fields. The only thing that I think could hold Fields back here is the weather, but if he can figure out a way to get about 200 passing yards and a touchdown, along with 50 yards rushing and a TD, I think we could be looking at a 25-to-30-point outing.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 13: Kenny Pickett, Rachaad White, Curtis Samuel

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 13

Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins

Sometimes it’s hard to identify a top play, and sometimes it’s easy. Playing Tua in Week 13 may be one of the easiest decisions that can be made in fantasy football. Washington lets up the second-most passing yards and 28 passing TDs to opposing QBs. Moreover, they let up the third-highest YPA (yards per attempt). Tua is going to take huge shots downfield all game long. The only thing that can derail his day is if Miami takes him out of the game in the fourth quarter with a 20+ point lead.

Brock Purdy, 49ers

This should be one of the best games of the week with two coaches who know how to get creative with their play calling. Purdy doesn’t attempt that many passes in general, but it’s hard to run on the Eagles so I expect that his pass attempts will go up. Philadelphia has allowed 23 passing TDs and the fourth-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. This seems like a winning position for a Kyle Shanahan-led offense that has multiple ways to beat you.

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 12

Josh Allen, Bills

I really like this spot for Josh Allen and the Bills. This feels like a let-down game for the Eagles after their huge victory against the Chiefs. Allen hasn't had one of those traditionally amazing Josh Allen weeks in quite some time, and I love the Bills as a road underdog and a great fantasy play. If it weren't for a few errant drops from the Chiefs, the outcome of last week’s game would have been completely different for the Eagles. I think the Bills' receivers make those catches and pull out the victory as Allen has about 275 yards and two touchdowns.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 11: Justin Fields, Tony Pollard, Tank Dell

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 11

C.J. Stroud, Texans

Arizona plays the fourth most zone coverage and, to be honest, we know that they play it pretty poorly. Moreover, Houston has receivers like Tank Dell and Nico Collins who thrive against zone defenses. Stroud is playing at an extremely high level and is at his best throwing against zone coverage. Houston's offensive line is doing a very good job of protecting him, and Arizona does not blitz that much. Stroud should have a lot of time to sit back in the pocket and pick the Cardinals apart.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 10: Justin Herbert, Najee Harris, Tyler Boyd

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 10

Justin Herbert, Chargers

If you want to win in fantasy football, you have to have a very short memory. Week 9 against the Jets was a mess for Herbert, who did not even throw for 150 yards and a TD. So why do I like him this week? He gets to play the Lions at home! The Lions are much improved defensively, but they are still somewhat lacking in the secondary and struggle to cover opposing tight ends. Herbert should be able to find Keenan Allen and Gerald Everett regularly and have a much better Week 10.

Best NFL DFS Plays Week 9: Lamar Jackson, Rachaad White, CeeDee Lamb

Dr. Roto Nov 3rd 11:36 AM EDT. Edited 11:36 AM.

Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 9

Lamar Jackson, Ravens

Jackson was a monumental disappointment against Arizona, but I am going to overlook that performance and concentrate on his matchup with Seattle. He will be needed to do way more against a competitive Seahawks team at home. With the Dallas/Philadelphia game garnering a ton of attention, Jackson might see much less rostership than expected.

Dak Prescott, Cowboys

It’s hard to run on Philadelphia, but you can certainly throw on them. The sportsbooks have Dak with a 248.5 passing yards prop, but I think they are underestimating how much Dallas will need Dak to play well to compete. He could be the slate breaker.
