We’re somehow at the point of the season where there are only three games left (what the heck happened?!). And one of those three games is this week's NFC Championship featuring the second-seeded San Francisco 49ers visiting the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have been one of the (if not THE) best teams in the league this year. And the 49ers have been the hottest in the league over the last three months. Something will have to give at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday.

We are now down to the final four and it’s fair to say that the two best teams in each conference made it to their respective Conference Championship games. We have the #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs hosting the #3 seeded Cincinnati Bengals. Last week we saw the Chiefs knock off the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Bengals dismantled the Buffalo Bills. This should be a fun game headlined by two of the best young quarterbacks in the league Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow armed with some of the league’s most elite weapons.

After a Super Wildcard Weekend that featured three inter-divisional matchups, we get another inter-divisional NFC East matchup in the Divisional Round featuring the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles won both matchups during the regular season, so the Giants will have their work cut out for them as they visit the City of Brotherly Love this week.

Sunday evening’s game features a game that brings a lot of nostalgia for anyone who remembers early 90’s football: the Dallas Cowboys visiting the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys are coming off a strong road win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they’re running into a burgeoning juggernaut of a 49ers team that has now won 11 games in a row.

The last Wild Card Weekend battle features the Dallas Cowboys (12-5) visiting the NFC South Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-9). While the team’s records would scream “Cowboys win!”, I think we’ve got some upset potential here. Let’s explore why.

This is the game everybody will be looking forward to watching this weekend. Two of the heaviest hitters in the superior AFC Conference finally face off when the Cincinnati Bengals (3) go on the road to take on the Buffalo Bills (2). This game is sure to be packed with emotion and controversy. We all remember the last time these teams played in Week 17 Damar Hamlin went down with a life-threatening injury and the game was canceled. He is now doing much better and we will get to see this game play out. A game that may have been in Cincinnati if not for the stoppage of the last matchup.

After an outstanding Wild Card Round last week, we are on to Round 2 of the NFL playoffs. The second round will kick off with the Jacksonville Jaguars (4) traveling to take on the Kansas City Chiefs (1) at Arrowhead Stadium. The Jags are coming off an incredible comeback victory over the inept Los Angeles Chargers while the Chiefs will be coming in fresh off their first-round bye. This should be an exciting one headlined by two explosive passing attacks headlined by two outstanding young quarterbacks.

In one of the non-divisional battles this Wild Card Weekend, we have the New York Football Giants (9-7-1) visiting the NFC North Champion Minnesota Vikings (13-4). The Giants have lost five of their last eight, but they’re above .500 on the road this year and played the Vikings within three points in their Week 15 matchup. Of all the games this weekend, I think this one might have the most upset potential.

This year’s NFL playoffs feature a few intra-divisional battles, and we’ll be coming out of the gate with one from the NFC West on Saturday afternoon. The surprising Seattle Seahawks (9-8) will be visiting their divisional rival San Francisco 49ers (13-4), and they’ll have their work cut out for them after losing both of their matchups to the 49ers this year.

We have yet another divisional matchup in the Wild Card round to kick off the 2023 playoffs. The Baltimore Ravens (10-7) go on the road to take on the Cincinnati Bengals (12-4). The AFC North rivals split their season series and will have their rubber match on Sunday night. They will be facing off for the second time in as many weeks and unfortunately, it looks like the Ravens will once again be without their star quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, they will at least have their QB2 Tyler Huntley starting this week after giving Anthony Brown a start last week in a meaningless game. The Bengals will look to continue rolling like they have been for months now.
