Josh Allen seemingly leapfrogged Patrick Mahomes and emerged as the top quarterback in all of fantasy football with an Average Draft Position (ADP) of 21.17.
Last week, we took a look at some of the most valuable quarterbacks to target based on ADP. We spoke about how veterans Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, and Derek Carr are some of the most promising passers heading into 2022 but aren’t expected to be drafted before the eighth round of 12-team fantasy football drafts. Today, we’ll take a look at some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks from a fantasy point of view. However, these signal-callers are being drafted far too early.
Though Josh Allen is potentially the best quarterback in the league, he shouldn’t be selected within the first 25 picks. Likewise, 2019 MVP winner Lamar Jackson is expected to be drafted as early as the fourth round but his production has declined substantially. Last season, Jackson threw for 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions before suffering a season-ending injury. This offseason, the Ravens lost their best deep-ball threat by sending Marquise Brown to the Cardinals. Coming off an injury without your best weapon is a difficult thing to do but if anyone can, it's Jackson. Still, I'd be wary of drafting him. Now, let's take a look at which quarterbacks fantasy owners shouldn't reach for based on Average Draft Positions (ADP).

Although some fantasy drafts have already taken place, the majority of leagues wait until August or September to draft. With that in mind, let's take. a look at a moment to focus on one of the most critical positions in fantasy football: quarterback. Based on the current ADP (Average Draft Position), the reigning Super Bowl winner, Matthew Stafford, seems like a massive value pick. Veteran quarterbacks seem like the sexy pick all of a sudden as this year's top quarterbacks to target based on ADP all have several years of experience (excluding Trevor Lawrence).
Russell Wilson is another veteran who is going much later than usual all because he is now in Denver. However, the Broncos have some playmakers at the wide receiver position. Then there is the iconic Tom Brady. Yes, he is getting older but he is an absolute steal as the 12th quarterback off the board. Derek Carr proved last season that he can put up solid stats with a decent supporting cast and now Davante Adams is added to the mix. Finally, we’ll take a look at some late-round quarterbacks such as Jameis Winston and Trevor Lawrence. Now it's time to analyze the most underrated quarterbacks heading into the 2022 fantasy football season based on ADP.

Drafting a sleeper wideout with immense upside (see Ja’Marr Chase from last season) who goes on to deliver you a fantasy football championship is one of the best feelings in the world. Getting that sneaky wide receiver such as D.J. Moore in the fourth or fifth round could be the difference between winning and losing your league. However, nothing hurts your chances in fantasy football more than selecting a bust in the early rounds of your draft. Let’s take a look at five wide receivers to avoid at all costs based on their current Average Draft Positions (ADP) who are all going within approximately the first six rounds of 12-team PPR leagues.

So far this summer, we’ve talked about quarterbacks, running backs, and tight ends to target or avoid heading into the 2022 Fantasy Football season. One position we haven't spoken about is wideout. Now into mid-July, the fantasy football talk is really starting to pick up. Some fantasy leagues have already been drafted! Running backs are the players on your fantasy team who can net you the largest amount of points in PPR leagues, especially if they are known for catching passes such as Christian McCaffrey and Austin Ekeler. That’s also why Jonathan Taylor is the first overall selection in virtually every 2022 fantasy football mock draft at the moment. Here, we’ll take a look at guys like Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb, who are some of the best rushers in the league but might have their pre-draft ranking a little inflated due to current Average Draft Positions (ADP). We’ll also talk about Ezekiel Elliott’s worsening play over the last four seasons, and why it would be unwise to pick him before the fourth round. Check out the top-five most overdrafted running backs and an honorable mention when looking at ADP in PPR formats. You may want to consider avoiding these running backs on draft day.

Tight ends can be tricky to draft in fantasy football. It's truly a hit-or-miss market for these guys. Last week, we went over some tight ends that we believe are the most valuable in PRR formats based on ADP (Average Draft Position). This week, we’re going to focus on George Kittle, T.J. Hockenson, and Logan Thomas as guys you may want to avoid drafting too early. With Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle set to lead the Dolphins' offense in targets this season, can anyone really count on Mike Gesicki to have a solid fantasy season? And will Evan Engram make an impact in his first season with Jacksonville? Let’s dive in.

2022 Fantasy Football Tight Ends To Avoid Based On ADP
TE George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (34.48)
While George Kittle had a solid season receiving last year for the 49ers, he only caught six touchdowns. In fact, Kittle only has 20 touchdowns in his five-year NFL career. In addition, Deebo Samuel serves as the focal point in the 49ers’ passing game. Not to mention, Brandon Aiyuk is also lining up on the outside as Trey Lance looks to step into the starting quarterback role and lead this offense. Kittle should remain the second option in the passing game but this will be the big tight end’s first season with Lance under center. Kittle is potentially one of the best blocking tight ends in the NFL. However, his abilities as a blocker don’t translate to fantasy points. Although Kittle is being selected in the late third round, fantasy owners should be patient and wait until the end of the fourth. Otherwise, you are overpaying and might as well spend a second-round selection on Baltimore’s Mark Andrews.

Unlike in years past, true workhorse running backs who play all three downs have become somewhat of a rarity. Most NFL teams employ running back by committees or a timeshare in some capacity. Only a handful of running backs are dominant in between the tackles yet also excel as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. In PPR formats, a running back who can catch passes is perhaps the most important player on your team. Having an Austin Ekeler or Christian McCaffrey or Najee Harris is a remarkable thing. Even if that player has an off day and fails to find the end zone, the volume of the workload in the passing game can result in a momentous day in fantasy despite a pedestrian performance in the real world. With that in mind, let’s dive deep and dig up five players you should target on draft day at the running back position based on current ADPs (Average Draft Positions).

The tight end positon is very shallow. If you miss out on one of the top three guys, you may miss out on having a player you can count on. For that reason, it can sometimes be worth pouncing on an elite option at the most competitive position in fantasy football. Travis Kelce has been the consensus top option for the last several years but Lamar Jackson’s go-to guy, Mark Andrews, might have something to say about that heading into the 2022 fantasy football season. Let’s take a look at the top five tight ends to target based on ADPs (Average Draft Positions).
