I'm not here to write about what is right or wrong when it comes to people's behavior, but I am here to chime in about drafting a player who is suspended.

When it is time to draft this year there are a few big names on the list who are suspended for the start of the season. Julian Edelman will be serving a four game suspension to open the 2018 season. Edelman is the top wide receiver on the Patriots and just a beast of an athlete. He unfortunately missed the 2017 season after tearing his ACL last August and had zero fantasy value. Edelman is recovering nicely and has shown no signs of slowing down in the preseason. Drafting Edelman in my opinion is a no brainer! If Julian Edelman is available in your draft after the first few rounds pick him up!

The New England Patriots preseason opener Thursday night against the Washington Redskins was Edelman’s opportunity to get back on the playing field after nearly 12 months of rehabbing the injury.

During the 16 offensive snaps that Edelman was on the field, he didn’t have a reception and appeared frustrated, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Julian Edelman played 16 offensive snaps in his 1st game action since tearing his ACL Aug. 25. He didn't register a catch. Edelman appeared to be open on the initial two 3rd-down plays and reacted w/ some frustration afterwards, jamming his helmet into the ground on the sideline]]> 5268366 Fri, 10 Aug 2018 16:21:01 EDT Patriots Wire
