San Francisco’s offensive line checks in at No. 6 in the latest Pro Football Focus rankings despite playing through a slew of injuries.

There aren’t any exceedingly dominant players on the 49ers’ line, but there aren’t any unplayably terrible ones either. They’re a solid mix of talent that’s helped the 49ers offense remain afloat despite the loss of starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and starting running back Jerick McKinnon]]> 5333378 Wed, 17 Oct 2018 15:57:01 EDT Niners Wire
<![CDATA[Kyle Shanahan confident in RB Raheem Mostert to bounce back]]> Raheem Mostert didn’t make the 49ers to be a running back. He’s a dynamite special teams player and should be a Pro Bowler this year for his contributions in that area. However, injuries to running backs Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida have forced the special teams ace into action at his listed position.

His first real action didn’t go well, but head coach Kyle Shanahan is confident in the 26-year-old to bounce back when called upon again.

“I’m confident because of the week of practice he had,” Shanahan said Saturday in his press conference. “I know he struggled last week with his opportunity. I had a good talk with Raheem this week. We challenged him real hard. He was up for the challenge. Everyone knows Raheem has earned his spot here as a special teams player. He’s done a hell of a job at that, but there’s going to come a time just like last week, and there will come a time again, where we need him to help us at running back. He has that ability. I do believe he has that mindset and the way he worked this week gives me a lot of confidence going into this game.]]> 5330625 Sun, 14 Oct 2018 17:57:01 EDT Niners Wire
