At the start of the season they lost Eric Berry and Daniel Sorensen to injury. Armani Watts was a new addition to IR after he needed surgery for a core muscle injury. Eric Murray had an ankle injury that kept him out of last weeks game. This thankfully they’ll get Murray back this week.

However in the coming weeks they could be getting another key safety back. Andy Reid provided an injury update on safety Daniel Sorensen who suffered a tibial plateau fracture and was placed on IR at the start of the season. Check out what Reid had to say about Dirty Dan]]> 5334077 Thu, 18 Oct 2018 8:00:02 EDT Chiefs Wire

Andy Reid said Eric Berry (heel), Justin Houston (hamstring) & Mitch Morse (concussion protocol) won’t practice today.

Mitch Morse was ruled out of last week’s game against the Patriots with a concussion after playing most of the first half. He’ll have to make it through the concussion protocol if he’s going to have a chance to play this week. The team added Jeff Allen this week, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they didn’t expect Morse to play]]> 5333291 Wed, 17 Oct 2018 14:30:01 EDT Chiefs Wire

A new report from CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora says that it isn’t a matter of if Eric Berry will return to action for the Chiefs. It’s a matter of when. Now before you get after La Canfora for his hatred of the Kansas City Royals, know that at least in my experience he tends to have solid sources as a reporter. Here is what La Canfora had to say about Berry:

The Chiefs continue to exude extreme caution with All-Pro safety Eric Berry in his return from Achilles and heel injuries, but sources said they remain extremely confident that he will play this season]]> 5330219 Sun, 14 Oct 2018 14:24:01 EDT Chiefs Wire

The Chiefs’ injury report is pretty straight forward. Justin Houston and Eric Berry are unlikely to play. This is not a surprise as Andy Reid reported it would be a stretch for Houston to play this Sunday.

De’Anthony Thomas was a late addition to the injury report and will likely be heading to injured reserve after breaking his leg in practice.

The good news is that Tanoh Kpassagnon got in a limited practice on Friday and could end up playing on Sunday against the Patriots. Still even if Kpassagnon is active it looks like Breeland Speaks will get his first opportunity to start for the Chiefs on Sunday]]> 5329075 Sat, 13 Oct 2018 7:36:01 EDT Chiefs Wire

The following 4 players will not practice today:

Andy Reid said that these guys are all day-to-day, but considering that Eric Berry has been day-to-day for the last 7 or 8 weeks, it doesn’t really tell us much. Reid didn’t comment on the report claiming that Houston could be out for weeks.

The team also provided some more information on the injuries to Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Armani Watts]]> 5326780 Wed, 10 Oct 2018 15:12:01 EDT Chiefs Wire
