The five-time Pro Bowl receiver made three catches for 61 yards to help the Texans defeat the Denver Broncos 20-19.

With nearly three weeks of practice under his belt, Thomas is expected to see his role grow moving forward this season. Thanks to consistent work with quarterback Deshaun Watson, Thomas is feeling much more comfortable in Texans coach Bill O’Brien’s offense.

“I think it helped, but you’ve also got to get the repetitions, too,” Thomas said. “Repetitions really help more. It’s doing it instead of seeing it. 'We've got to be able to use him more, even more than we did,' O'Brien said via the Houston Chronicle. 'He had three catches. I think they were all basically almost on the first or second drive of the game. He's a very smart guy, excellent pro.
