Logan Ryan and Adoree' Jackson the @Titans starting corners. Malcolm Butler not playing tonight

Butler had a tough week of practice against the Buccaneers very good receiving corps, and there wasn’t any word of an injury. It may be the Titans coaching staff wants more looks at some of the Titans’ secondary depth. Or it could just be a designed day off for a veteran in the second week of the preseason. The bigger deal will be whether Butler is back on the field for the next practice]]> 5275338 Sat, 18 Aug 2018 20:27:01 EDT Titans Wire

No surprise: @delaniewalker82 nd @WoodDro52 are among #Titans who will not play tonight vs. #Bucs at @NissanStadium.

Given the rash of injuries in Titans camp and around the NFL, it makes sense the Titans are sitting Woodyard and Walker for the second preseason game.]]> 5275023 Sat, 18 Aug 2018 13:27:01 EDT Titans Wire
<![CDATA[Being evaluated after practice exit]]> Per coach Mike Vrabel, Walker is "being looked at" after limping off the practice field Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

The exact nature of Walker's issue is unclear, but the Tennessean notes that the tight end was "grabbed low before hobbling to the sideline" Thursday. Next up for the team's reps at the position in the event that Walker misses any time, is Jonnu Smith.

Here’s what we learned from the Titans’ defeat:

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans’ first-team offense was the big question mark going into this contest. It felt like the game’s success was riding on the first-team offense. Marcus Mariota and company looked like they’ve been working in Matt LaFleur’s offense for years. Mariota went 2-of-3 passing for 42 yards and a touchdown on the drive. They called five designed passes and four designed runs en route to a touchdown pass from Mariota to Darius Jennings. Considering Tennessee was without three of their top pass catchers in Rishard Matthews, Corey Davis and Delanie Walker, it was hard to ask for more of them in their opening series]]> 5268457 Fri, 10 Aug 2018 16:24:02 EDT Titans Wire
