That's still a pretty awesome line for his fantasy owners and he'll continue to put up early-round value even with his minutes limit. The good news is that the Pels are done with the back-to-back sets, but they could still sit The Brow with even the smallest injury. Keep him in your lineup and hope for the best.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis listed in the starting lineup]]> Anthony Davis is listed in the starting lineup against the Suns on Saturday.

He did not play on Friday against the Blazers, but he should be there for his normal workload in the low 20s. AD could still smash in that limited time, so he should be in season-long lineups. DFS players could consider him too, but there's a ton of risk.

It's a back-to-back set for the Pels, so he was going to sit out at least one of these two games. Coach Alvin Gentry didn't play on Tuesday, but Gentry said that the matchup was a factor because of the Bucks shooting treys. Okafor is likely going to start and could be a stream or DFS punt play today. Cheick Diallo also gets a boost.

<![CDATA[According to sources of Marc J. Spears and Michael Wilbon of]]> According to sources of Marc J. Spears and Michael Wilbon of ESPN, there's "no way" the Pelicans will trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers this summer.

Pelicans owner Gayle Benson and executive VP Mickey Loomis are reportedly unwilling to deal Davis to a Westcoast rival, although things could change once New Orleans hires a new GM this summer. That said, the Lakers don't have a ton of assets and would likely need to land a high lottery pick in the upcoming draft in order to sweeten the deal for New Orleans, but as of right now, Boston would appear to be the frontrunners in the AD sweepstakes.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis finished 9-of-16 from the field and 2-of-4 from]]> Anthony Davis finished 9-of-16 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line for 21 points in 21 minutes of a 130-113 loss to the Bucks on Tuesday.

He grabbed 12 rebounds with two assists, two blocks and one triple and continues to crush despite his workload being cut in half indefinitely. Unfortunately for his fantasy owners, the Pelicans only have two more games this week and it's a Friday-Saturday back-to-back, so he'll only suit up for one of those. Whenever AD does sit, don't hesitate to deploy Cheick Diallo in his place.

<![CDATA[AD posts big all-around line in Pelicans loss]]> Anthony Davis (back) returned to action on Sunday, finishing with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal, four blocks and three 3s in 21 minutes.

AD continues to be a beast even when only on the court for 20-ish minutes, and the Hawks obviously offered a very friendly matchup on Sunday. The four blocks were the most he's had in a game since early January. Davis has averaged 15.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 3.0 blocks and 1.3 triples in his four games so far this month.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis (back) on track to play Sunday]]> Anthony Davis (back) is on track to play Sunday vs. the Hawks.

Davis participated at shootaround, is listed as a starter in the game notes and is currently going through his pregame routine, so it would be surprising if he didn't play tonight. He'll still be confined to around 20 minutes, but with a matchup against Atlanta, that's plenty of time for a quality stat line. Go ahead and get him active.

<![CDATA[Listed with staters]]> Davis (back) is listed in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.

Davis was listed as a game-time call after being scratched from Friday's clash with a back issue, but it appears he'll return to game action Sunday. He's logged 22 or fewer minutes in each of his previous seven contests and that trend is expected to continue throughout the remainder of the season.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis, Okafor game-time calls Sunday]]> Anthony Davis (back) and Jahlil Okafor (ankle) will be game-time decisions for Sunday's matchup with the Hawks.

AD was able to participate at shootaround, but we don't know how active he was, and didn't hear anything about Okafor participating. Owners will have to wait for them to go through their pregame routine before we get official word on their status, but if both these guys are out, Cheick Diallo will make for a very attractive DFS target. Stay tuned.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis (back) going through warmups]]> Anthony Davis (back) was spotted going through shootaround on Sunday.

He's officially being listed as questionable for today's game against the Hawks, but him participating at shootaround is a positive sign. We should get official word on his status soon, but if he does play, Jahlil Okafor will return to the second unit and Cheick Diallo will lose some value. Stay tuned.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis (back) questionable for Sunday]]> Anthony Davis (back) is questionable for Sunday against the Hawks.

He was a late scratch on Friday night, and of course the Pelicans have him on a rest plan going forward. Davis' fantasy owners should plan on him not playing in this game, and Cheick Diallo should be owned in standard leagues. There could be more minutes for Darius Miller, as well.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis (back) will not play Friday]]> Anthony Davis (lower back spasms) will not play Friday against the Raptors.

Welp. He was expected to start and earlier today coach Alvin Gentry said AD's plan was going to be the same with Jrue Holiday out. Things like this were bound to happen with AD at some point, and the likelihood Davis misses more games multiplies with this news. Jahlil Okafor will get the start while Cheick Diallo and Darius Miller should see more action. AD's owners should be very nervous.

<![CDATA[Anthony Davis had 16 points (6-of-12 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five]]> Anthony Davis had 16 points (6-of-12 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 21 minutes on Wednesday.

Davis continues to play right around 20 minutes per game and that's been enough for top-30 value in most formats -- it's a reminder of his otherworldly upside. Assuming he's not shut down at some point, New Orleans' light schedule down the stretch could benefit him. With just one remaining back-to-back set, on Mar. 15/16, Davis might only have a handful of DNPs. It's the tightrope his fantasy owners have been forced to walk due to his awkward midseason trade demand.

<![CDATA[Adam Silver: Pelicans playing Anthony Davis three quarters, sitting him in fourth ‘not a good solution’]]> Anthony Davis shouldn't have talked about the trade request like he did at All-Star Weekend.]]> 5444147 Tue, 05 Mar 2019 15:24:01 EDT probasketballtalk <![CDATA[Anthony Davis (illness) played 22 minutes on Monday vs. the]]> Anthony Davis (illness) played 22 minutes on Monday vs. the Jazz, scoring 15 points with 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals, three blocks and one triple.

Apart from a late appearance to defend an inbounds pass, AD sat in the fourth quarter. Despite playing 22 or less minutes in his last five active games, Davis is still putting up elite numbers with 17.4 points, 8.0 boards, 2.8 dimes, 2.0 blocks and 1.6 steals. Of course he also has two DNPs mixed in, and there's no telling how long the Pelicans will keep this up. The Pelicans have three more games this week with none of them being back-to-backs, so for now the expectation is that we'll see him for roughly 20 minutes in all three.
